Before she could finish, he yanked her forward, forcing her down onto her knees. His face was a mask of stone as he held her there.

Humiliation washed over Rebekah. Across the room, Candice’s eyes were gleaming with triumph. Rebekah clamped her mouth shut. She would never apologize for something she didn’t do.
Benjamin’s patience was wearing thin. He shifted his weight and pressed his foot down hard on her injured ankle.
“Ah!” A sharp cry of pain escaped her lips as agony shot through her leg.
He leaned in close, his voice a low whisper in her ear. “Rebekah, I know you didn’t seduce Sienna’s boyfriend. But Candice is part of the Griffin family now. As her sister, you have to think about her. Just apologize p>
Rebekah’s face was pale, her heart feeling as if it had been pierced through. For Candice’s sake, she was expected to endure this injustice, this utter degradation?
