Aiden’s jaw tightened. “Someone set Amelia’s place on fire. She and Arthur were inside. If I hadn’t gotten there in time…” He raked a hand down his hair, frustration pulling at every line of his face. His wolf growled inside him, demanding blood.
James’s expression darkened. “The news of the fire is everywhere already. I’m working on pulling the videos down, but it’s spreading fast p>
Aiden’s fists clenched. “Someone’s playing games with me. When I find them, there will be no mercy p>
James gave a short nod. “How are she and Arthur p>
“They’re alive. But she…” Aiden’s voice dropped, heavy with bitterness. “She thinks it was me. That I set the fire and just happened to show up to save them p>
James exhaled slowly, his brows drawing together. “Can you blame her? After everything she’s been through… suspicion is all she has left to protect herself p>

“I need every piece of surveillance pulled from around the house, streets, corners, rooftops. Whoever did this, I’ll find them.” His voice rumbled low, his wolf lacing through every word.
James studied him. “And in the meantime? Where will she and Arthur stay p>

James froze, reading his silence. “Don’t tell me you’re thinking of the mansion. You… Sofia… Cassia? Under one roof?” His voice pitched with disbelief. “That’s like locking two wildcats in the same cage p>

James shook his head. “No. She won’t agree. You’ll have a war in that house before the first night p>
“I don’t care,” Aiden growled. “Her safety and Arthur’s come before anything else. I failed her once. I won’t again p>
James sighed, rubbing a hand down his face. He knew Aiden meant it. The safest place was the pack house, no matter how impossible it sounded.

Aiden let out a low chuckle, but his eyes were dark. He watched James push open the ward door and slip inside.
Left alone, Aiden pulled out his phone, ordering security and patrol to tighten every perimeter. He wouldn’t risk another attack. Not on her. Not on Arthur.
Meanwhile, Sofia awoke to a calm, blissful morning. She stretched, humming as though nothing in the world was wrong, before slipping into the bathroom.
By the time she emerged, fresh–faced and dressed in jeans and a fitted blouse, she looked every bit the Luna she wanted the world to see. Her lips curved smugly. Last night had been the best sleep she’d had in years.
Downstairs, she found Ethan at the dining table, already dressed for school, a maid hovering nearby.
“Good morning, Mommy,” Ethan greeted with a smile.
“Morning, sweetheart. How was your night?” she asked sweetly, though her eyes were already darting around the room, searching for Aiden.
“It was fine. I can’t wait to see my new friend at school today.” Ethan grinned.
“That’s nice,” Sofia muttered absently, uninterested. Her gaze snapped to the maid. “Elena, did Alpha Aiden come home last night p>
