Mummbled noises outside tell me Thane is home. I can hear Raven’s footsteps descend the stairwell and anxiety I confrontation. I am also not well right now. I sit up in my nest and check my phone. Five hours have gone by and I haven’t heard a single word out of him or any other shifter. I toss my phone in the nest and put my hands over my face, trying to keep myself from losing it.

I remove my hands and see him for the first time since the explosion happened. He is exhausted. Thane looks as if he spent time on a battlefield and I don’t need to question the red on his clothing.
