I stayed at little wolf’s bedside most of the night. She would have whimpers occasionally and I would need to soothe her back to sleep with calming caresses and gentle words, her never fully arousing. It became very apparent she isn’t getting enough rest. I would need to remedy that. I watched her sleep. Watching her pillow soft lips part, her white hair sprawled around her like a halo. I had to force myself to leave before I did something she would regret Kissing Ayla was amazing. She was akward at first, but quickly let her guard down and kissed me back with earnest. I felt a strong pull to her. Ronan did as well, but I felt no mate bond. No tether. The whole situation was confusing. Not to mention, I saw her notepal on her nightstand. I would have no idea why she thought herself a safety risk to the pack, unless it had to do with her old pack or the shifter ring. I was elated to see myself on the list as a
reason to stay.
I could talk with the elders of the pack. Maybe they know of instances of pulls this strong without being fated, but I have never heard of it. I walk into my office for my meeting with Cyrus. We strategize and form a plan for our next raid. We have heard from our resources that a shifter ring is being ran out of a compound at the base of tri–peaks mountain. Rugged terrain and harsh climate would make the mission difficult. The thought of having to leave little wolf for a few days made my stomach crawl for some reason.
We had a pack run planned tonight for the full moon. I could invite Ayla. It might even help pull her wolf out, but the experience and pick itself could overwhelm her. I guess there is only one way to find out. Exiting the elevator, I head straight to Ayla’s rooms and knock. I can feel Ronan pushing against my mental barrier, panting with lust. “There is a pack run for the full moon tonight Ayla. I would like to invite you.” My voice sounding huskies than normal. “I know you’re not ready to be with the others yet, but I can put you at the waterfall. I can run with the pack while you relax with the forest and get used to the scent of other shifters from the pack. It would help you when you meet them and when Iam done running, I can come back to you. You can meet Ronan. He is eager to meet you.
She gazes at me for a while, her face blushing before she nods her head yes in agreement. I lean down before I can think better of it and whisper into her ear “maybe we can explore another first for you little wolf.” I hear her breath hitch, with a sharp inhale and the sound goes straight to my dick. I need to get out of this room. “I will back tonight after your supper. I will send the pack out first, then come get you. The falls aren’t far from here. The others will know to stay clear from it.” She nods and her cheeks redden more at the thought of our upcoming solitude I’m sure. I know my thoughts are.
