Chapter 15

After three days, Amelia’s first day at University finally arrived, and the girl stood in the palace hall, looking at the so-called dangerous wolves, telling her everything she needed to keep in mind to stay out of trouble.

King Cyrus hadn’t been in the palace for the last three days due to urgent work with rogues, which meant Amelia’s major time was spent studying various decoctions and talking to the maids about anything and everything.

She took her time getting to know everyone, and in just three days, she became almost everyone’s absolute favorite.

“Don’t talk to any boy, okay p>

“If any boy tries to converse with you, tell him you are friends with me,” Fabian said proudly, and Amelia smiled before bobbing her head up and down like a good girl.

“Eat your lunch on time. And don’t let anyone look down on you. Many future alphas, along with rogues and Luna, will attend. Since you are a lantern, people will try to dominate you, but don’t get intimidated, okay?” Miss Quinn held Amelia’s hand.

Amelia nodded again.

It wasn’t like this was her first time attending University, but then again, this would surely be the first time she wouldn’t hide from the world like a rogue.

This time, she will attend that place, proud and daring to glare back at all the people who made her life tough last time.

“Don’t worry. I will take care of myself,” Amelia said.

Fabian sighed before he pretended to wipe his fake tears.

“Why do I feel like a mama hen sending her baby to school for the first time?” He said dramatically.

Amelia chuckled before shaking her head.

“Don’t worry, Mr. Fabian. This baby chick will make you proud,” Amelia said, and Fabian nodded before ruffling her hair.

“I can’t believe how you have grown up so much from the last time I saw you,” He continued his act.

Miss Quinn scowled at the man before swatting his hand away when she noticed how he ruined their princess’s hair.

“I’ll leave now,” Amelia said.

She sat inside the car that waited for her at the entrance before taking a deep breath.

“Here I come, new life,” she whispered to herself.

The first thing she noticed, or should she say, the first person she noticed as soon as her car stopped at the entrance, was a boy in a black hoodie skating.

Three other boys stood around him while they cheered for him.

“So much noise so early in the morning,” Harrison said.

“Thank you for dropping me, Mr Amelia looked at the old werewolf who was appointed as her personal driver to take her to and fro from the University.

“Harrison,” He said.

“Uncle Harrison,” Amelia tested the name, and the bright smile on the man’s face didn’t disappoint her.

She waved at him and got down from the car, the smile immediately vanishing from her face.

“Hey, watch out!” She heard someone shout at her, and she turned to her left just in time to see the boy with the skates moving towards her.

He lost his balance when he saw how close they were, wavering to the side before falling on his butt.

“Haha, that was a nice save,” Someone chuckled. The boy with the skates glared at Amelia, making her furrow her brows.

This was precisely how she didn’t want to start her day.

“Can’t you see where you are standing or moving? I fell because of you.” The boy stood from his place, and Amelia couldn’t help but look at him from head to toe.

This guy seemed familiar.

She tried to jog her memory lane to see if she remembered encountering this person in her last life, and it finally clicked.

Wasn’t he one of the triplet brothers from the Ashborn Pack? The renowned troublemakers who even University Professors didn’t mess with?

She didn’t remember encountering them much in the past life, but she did remember a hiking experience in which Hannah’s trick almost caused her to fall into the ditch.

It was dark, but she felt someone’s presence there.

It was Aaron, wasn’t it? The one person who had been roaming the woods but ignored her desperate plea for help.

Amelia’s expression darkened at the memory, and her gaze turned sharp.

“Aaron from the Ashborn Pack, aren’t you? I have heard of you,” she said.

The man, who thought she was about to praise him, rolled his eyes before scoffing.

“Of course, you heard of me. Is there a girl here who isn’t head over heels for p>

“The infamous troublemaker triplets, right?” Amelia asked.

Aaron stopped speaking, his brown eyes blazing fire now.

What did she say? Trouble makers? Well, they indeed were. But till now, no one had dared to tell it to their face.

“What do you know?” Aaron stepped forward, almost hovering over her.

Amelia didn’t flinch and just tilted her head.

“Trouble makers, one doesn’t want to interact with the girl, one can’t keep it in his pants, and you… You like to act cool, but in reality, you do it to hide your insecurity about being lower than your other two brothers, who are infamous for the work they do. Is that enough, or should I say more?” Amelia asked.

Aaron glared at her.

“How dare you?” He seethed and was about to grab her collar when Amelia stepped back swiftly right in time.

She allowed her family to bully her because she loved them, but that didn’t mean she was incapable of protecting herself.

She grabbed Aaron’s hand before twisting it and pushing it down, almost making him lick the ground.

“Don’t you dare touch me! I hate you,” Amelia spat, her hatred leaking her words, and Aaron froze in his place.

Never in his life had he sensed this kind of hatred from anyone.

Amelia stepped back, leaving his hands.

She looked at him one last time before continuing with her path.

On the other hand, Aaron couldn’t move from his place.

Her words were barely a whisper, and others couldn’t hear them, but he did.

But he was sure he was seeing this girl for the first time. Then why would she hate him?

“You okay, man?” One of his friends asked.

“Yeah, the class will start soon anyways,” Another piped in.

“Are you creating trouble so early in the morning?” Aaron’s brother, Derrick, walked ahead with a blonde girl and heavy make-up on his side.

Aaron immediately remembered that girl’s words. She was talking about Derrick when she said he can’t keep it in his pants.

“Can you go one day without a girl by your side? It’s humiliating,” Aaron spat.

Derrick, surprised by his easy-going brother’s attitude, turned to Ryan, who shrugged as they walked inside the building to get to their classes.

At the same time, Hannah, who was gloating because of her rank among the healer lanterns who got admitted to the University with Alpha Killian, smiled modestly.

The boy who ranked second had a mishap at his house, and he couldn’t join the university. Amelia was nowhere to be seen, so Hannah was suddenly a prodigy among everyone.

“You guys are too much. It was just a test. It’s our character that speaks for us. Those are just numbers on sheets,” Hannah said.

Her words immediately put her in a good light with everyone, and Killian placed his hand over her shoulders.

“I know you are modest, but sometimes, it’s okay to bask in the limelight. You deserve all the praise,” Killian said.

Hannah was about to speak when everyone suddenly looked behind her, and she furrowed her brows.

Who was so important that everyone’s attention suddenly turned behind her?

She turned around, her body visibly freezing, and her heart skipped a beat when she saw Amelia standing at the building entrance and looking around.

She looked breathtaking in that lotus green dress that reached below her knees, along with leggings.

Even Alpha Killian, who was used to seeing her in weird clothes and makeup, took another take at her beauty.

“Amelia? What is she doing here? Wait. Could it be that she thought our father had admitted her, too? This is bad. She will get humiliated like this,” Hannah said, her words loud enough for Killian and her friends to hear, and their praiseworthy gaze immediately turned mocking.

Killian’s expression of her immediately changed, and he scoffed inwardly.

What was this outer beauty for when the inside was completely rotten? He rolled his eyes.
