Surprised that he slept so soundly, Cyrus couldn’t help but sigh when he remembered the events of the last night.
He moved his hand around, ready to pull the girl close to rub his face on her soft breasts and start a good morning, but he found the bed empty.
His brows furrowed before he opened his eyes.
Judging from the cold bed, it was evident that she had left quite some time ago, and he sighed.
She must’ve been flustered. He looked down at her nail marks on his chest, and his ears tinted red at the memories of last night.

Cyrus shook his head and went straight to the bathroom, standing under the shower head to clear his mind.
Every inch of the bathroom reminded him of how he had brought Amelia to the shower, and he thinned his lips.

“Sir, we have new clues. Hannah didn’t just drug Miss Amelia. We have found the intel that Dominic drugged her, too. The reports are here, and we found Miss Amelia’s DNA on two glasses, highly containing a toxic poison.” Fabian’s words through the mind-link made Cyrus clench his hand.
“Come to the first floor with the team in ten minutes,” Cyrus said.
After standing under the cold water for some time, he turned off the water and walked out of the room.
By the time he finished his shower, the maid had already cleaned the bed and surroundings.

Hearing a knock on the door, he asked his team to enter as he put on his shirt.
Fabian, Gregory, and Trevor entered the room and were about to greet their King when their gaze fell on his body, and they froze.
Cyrus realised what they were looking at and cursed inwardly. He should’ve worn the shirt before calling them.
He was embarrassed that his team saw this, even though he claimed to hate the girl, but he didn’t let it show on his face.
Fabian and Trevor looked at each other, unsure if they should ask, but held up on a second note.
“Do we have any proof on whom did Dominic bought that kind of drug? We would need as much evidence as we can collect before the King’s trials. Besides, Cassius, grandpa has added one more name. I want someone to tail him from now on,” Cyrus said.
Fabian noted everything in his notepad one by one, giving his insights on the matter that Cyrus wanted to talk about.
“We don’t have any evidence, but it’s assumed that Hannah bought the drug from the black market apocrathy house,” Trevor said.
Cyrus nodded and asked them to look into it. See what kind of drugs he is selling and how the hell did he sell illegal drugs like that without Royal’s permission? It was better to cease that place or who knows what kind of mishap would that cause later.
Once done, Trevor and Gregory left with their tasks, and Fabian was about to leave when he turned to Cyrus.
“Sir, I know it’s not my position to say this, but you consider me your best friend, too. As much as I support your decision and think it looks great on you and is really beautiful, don’t you think you should’ve waited a little if you weren’t sure about her?” Fabian asked.
Cyrus who was about to rebuke that it was because Amelia was in pain and he needed to relieve her, stopped when the rest of his words registered in his mind.
Looked beautiful? Was he really talking about those scratch marks on his body? Do they look good?
“I didn’t know you had a thing for nail or bite marks, Fabian,” Cyrus mused.
Fabian furrowed his brows.
“What nail and bite marks, sir? I am talking about the mark on your neck,” Fabian said.
Cyrus remembered that Amelia had indeed bitten him very hard when he was about to orgasm, and when she orgasmed, he rolled his eyes.
He turned around to inspect his neck. Was the bite mark that deep?

“Fabian, tell me you don’t see what I think I am seeing,” Cyrus said in disbelief.
Fabian narrowed his brows.
“Sir, I clearly see what it is, and it’s beautiful. Just a little strange because –” Fabian stopped speaking.
The air around them shifted. His King was getting angry, not just angry, but murderous.
“This sneaky little Cyrus walked out of the room in hurried steps.
“Amelia Everleigh!!” Cyrus shouted when he saw her standing with his grandfather.
The nerve of this girl was beyond belief for him.
Amelia widened her eyes when the man placed her on the large rock near a pond.
He looked at her with a glare.
Cyrus looked into Amelia’s wide eyes as she looked back at him with a naive and innocent expression.
However, he knew better not to fall for this.
“How dare you do it without my permission? How dare you do it before I did it? Do you even know what this means?” Cyrus grabbed her dress in a fist as he yanked her forward.
Amelia stood on her tiptoes, her eyes looking into his like an innocent child who didn’t know what crime he had committed.
“What did I do?” Amelia asked before she realised he was probably talking about last night.
She knew she crossed a line last night in her moment of intoxication due to that drug.
She should’ve known that the man who helped her because of his good heart wouldn’t accept her so readily. She should’ve known her place.
Amelia took a deep breath.
“I understand, King Cyrus,” she whispered, her eyes almost tearing up, making the man’s heart clench.
“I am ready to take the punishment for it. I should’ve known my place and not forced you into anything. Intoxicated or not, I don’t deserve to have that kind of relationship with you. Please forgive me. In return, you can give me fifty whippings, and if that’s less, you can—” The girl started yapping with tears rolling down from the corner of her eyes.
Cyrus’s anger started to dissolve at her vulnerable expression and what she was talking about. Frustrated about how little she deemed herself, he pulled her forward and pressed his lips on hers.
His heart skipped a beat at the sensation. Kissing her has been his favourite task these days, but after what she did last night, it almost felt like something exploded in him and he wanted nothing more than fucking her right then and there.

“You dare to spout those words after taking advantage of me? How dare you do this?” He asked.
Grayson, who was afraid his grandson would do something to the girl, rushed to the area just in time.
“Cyrus! I am warning you!” Grayson walked to them.
“Why are you taking it out on her? What did she do that made you so angry?!” He asked.
Cyrus glared at the old man before glaring at Amelia.
He yanked his shirt down.
“This is what she did,” He said, and everyone’s eyes widened, including Amelia’s.
“And guess what, I didn’t do it. Only SHE DID IT!” Cyrus glared.
