Autumn drove home, went upstairs to grab her luggage, then came back down.
She placed the ring and car keys in the drawer by the bed, not knowing whether Julian would see them.

Zoe heard the noise and came out. Seeing Autumn dragging a suitcase downstairs, she hurried over to help.
