Compared to Autumn, Selena was definitely the lucky one. Losing a scumbag still left her with a family who adored her.

If she could get his contact information, maybe she could dig up old evidence and reopen her case.
The two of them got into the car, Selena chatting excitedly about her new ride and her life at home, almost as if she was letting off steam.
Autumn listened quietly, offering the occasional response, and waited for her chance to bring up what she really wanted to discuss.
When they rounded a bend, Selena finally fell silent, and Autumn seized the moment.
“Selena, is your uncle still chief of police in Northhaven p>
Selena nodded as she turned the wheel, glancing over at her in curiosity. “Yeah, he is. Why p>
Autumn hesitated before answering. “It’s like this–my uncle was also with the Northhaven police back then, but ten years ago, he was framed and sent to prison.

She’d even disliked George at one point.
