We got touchy under the shower, both naked and still breathing heavily from the intense exercise we had a few minutes ago.
I was half expecting that he’d fuck me again… But he didn’t and that made me a little disappointed for an unknown reason.

“Do you even have any hobbies you indulge yourself in when I go to work?” He asked when he stepped out of the bathroom, his firm ass and wide muscular back in full display.

Rolling my eyes, I used the white towel to wrap around my body, walking out of the bathroom before I remarked sarcastically. “Well, pardon me, your highness. But it’s not my fault that I’m a mere peasant girl who’s still new to all this p>
Kaene arched an eyebrow, the look in his eyes judgemental as always.
“You could always ask me, you know.” He eventually muttered, putting on his underwear. “Believe me, I don’t bite. Well, outside the bedroom that is p>
As soon as he said that, I subconsciously touched the spot on my neck that he’d marked me.

“You can go find my Beta anyway.” Kaene suddenly blurted, causing me to tense up.

“You could even help him with his meetings with packs involved in the incident last night and learn a little more about pack politics.” He added.

Anyway, when Kaene got dressed in another suit, he gave me a wink. “Don’t miss me. And get ready… I have a little surprise waiting tonight p>

Plastering a smile on my face, I watched Kaene open the door and step out of his suite, leaving me alone.
Wait… This was HIS suite. I didn’t have my clothes here to change into, except for that ball gown.
And I’d be damned before I slid into that thing again.
Grumbling to myself, I grabbed my phone out of the ball gown on the bed which remained there as a reminder of my wild night with Kaene.
With my hands latched to the towel wrapped around my body, I walked out of the suite, hoping to get to mine without attracting too much attention.
But heck was there so much attention.

As I made my way through the hallway, maids who walked by doing their jobs and cleaning around the mansion greeted me with respectful bows, warm smiles plastered on all their faces.
I either responded with a smile of my own or a brief nod, my face flushing because I was half-naked walking around.

“Well, well, well.” An amused female voice sniggered from behind me, causing me to freeze in my tracks.
Ugh, why did I have to jinx myself by thinking about her p>
Turning around slowly, my gaze fell on the blonde rich girl who had her hands folded in front of her chest with a smirk on her face.
“What do you want, Elsa?” I asked with a sigh, already about to turn around and continue walking.
But her next words stopped me from doing that.
“It was quite an interesting Luna Ball you had last night.” She chuckled dryly, playing around with her hair. “And to think that yours is the first one in the history of this pack to have such a calamity befall it. If that’s not a sign from the Moon goddess that you’re a phony Luna, then I don’t know what is p>
My fists clenched as I glared at her, wishing I could land a punch on her pretty little face.

Suddenly, the bitch burst into a fit of laughter, looking at me like she’d just heard the biggest joke of her life.
She brought her fingers to her eyes, cleaning off tears before she remarked. “Darling, please. Even dear old Kaene wouldn’t dare do something like that. Are you willing to go against the Thatcher family by doing something so barbaric p>

“It’s funny of you to talk about ’barbarism’ when your very existence is a textbook depiction of the cavemen from thousands of years ago.” I spat, though my tone was still surprisingly calm.
There were still two or three maids walking through the hallway at that point and they all gawked at me in surprise, while Miss Thatcher herself blinked at me with reddened cheeks.
“Take that back you shameful slut!” She screeched, a howl escaping her mouth.
Before I knew what was happening, she charged at me, her hands outstretched and aiming for my face.
My hands were still holding on to the towel wrapped around my body so I couldn’t react on time as she slashed me on the face with her claws, causing me to fall butt first to the ground as a sharp pain surged through my face.
“Luna Phoebe!” A maid screamed, scurrying toward me to help me up.
I was dazed, shocked beyond words when I touched my face and felt the blood dripping from the scratch mark.
Oh, this bitch was asking for it.
