Expecting her to marry into another rich family isn’t realistic anymore… It makes more sense for her to marry Axell instead. There are advantages to this arrangement. For one, the Nelsons are well-off, so Rosanna would have stability and security for the future. On top of that, if we become connected by marriage, Jarrod would be Axell’s brother-in-law. Hearing Richard’s reasoning, Sandra fell silent.
Was he actually suggesting that Rosanna marry the very man who had taken advantage of her?
The idea felt completely insane, leaving Sandra unsettled. Still, she recognized that their hands were tied.
Given everything that had happened, Rosanna had almost no chance of marrying into a respectable family, much less a wealthy one. Two hours later, Richard and Sandra arrived at the Nelson family estate.
In the living room, Axell lounged on the sofa, a thick bandage covering his head, his feet propped up on the table. His impatience was clear as he glanced over at Richard and Sandra.

His calm delivery sent a chill down Richard’s and Sandra’s spines.
Panic flickered in Richard’s eyes. All their begging and apologizing seemed to have made no difference at all.

Jarrod didn’t know the nature of your relationship with Rosanna — he thought you were…” He trailed off, catching the flash of annoyance on Axell’s face, and quickly backtracked. “That’s not what I meant. Jarrod misunderstood. Rosanna is his only sister, lost to us for years, and he finally got her back. He’s always cared for her. When he saw what happened, he just lost control. Please, I hope you can be generous and forgive him p>
Axell’s expression didn’t soften, though amusement danced in his eyes.
Some things in life were truly beyond belief. Here he was, having been intimate with their daughter, yet now they stood before him, apologizing and scrambling for excuses — desperate for a letter that only he could grant. The irony of it all was almost entertaining.
He relished playing the villain, knowing he had done wrong, yet the people he had wronged were forced to come begging for his forgiveness and help. Nothing thrilled him more than watching others grovel while he held all the power.
Still, he couldn’t deny that the intimacy with Rosanna had been memorable in its own way.
Thinking back on it, Axell kept his words sharp but allowed a slight hint of leniency in his tone. “Let’s be clear. Your daughter was the one who came to me first, and your son only got involved afterward.
