Dominic frowned. The suggestion reminded him of the last movie he had watched with Isabella. A single call from her sworn brother had pulled her away, leaving him alone in the theater. His mood darkened for no clear reason.

Jessica moved closer, squatted on the floor, and looked up at him.
“Then what do you want to do? As long as Dominic is interested, anything is fine!” Her tone sounded light and teasing, dangerously tempting
Dominic’s heart sped up. He stood at once, checked his watch, and said, “Something came up at the company. I need to go to the office. ”
With that, he walked straight out the door.
Jessica’s advances were too aggressive. Dominic could not handle them and chose to retreat for now.
“How annoying!” Jessica knew perfectly well that he had taken the day off. She stomped her foot in frustration.

Dominic did not go to the office. He went to the hospital instead.
After walking a short distance through the inpatient department, he ran into someone he knew.
“Oh, it’s you!” Nurse Wendy said when she saw Dominic. Her eyes lit up as she spoke.
Dominic nodded with a smile. “ Hi, Wendy, ”
“How did you know my name? Well, that’s not important. You’re fully recovered now? I heard about it back then and thought it was fake. It’s really great that you’re fine!” Her voice carried unmistakable joy.
Dominic had a good impression of her. Back when he existed in a soul–like state, he had watched her shut Isabella down so thoroughly that Isabella had been left speechless. He had silently given her a thumbs –up.
He smiled and said, “I’m fine. Thanks to you, I was able to come back to life. Thank you all p>
