Chapter 216 The Goddess Monument
As they were talking, light suddenly flew out of Lucas’s body. They were attribute points.

“Move! Now!” Viola urged. “If we don’t, you won’t last more than a few days p>
She looked at herself-dirty, exhausted, barely standing.
Then she looked at the others, who had not helped her in any way. Worse, they had made everything harder.
For the first time, Viola felt regret.
But it was too late.
She had no choice but to keep going. Near the pores of the Evil God were two connected stone cities. They led to other planes in the greater universe. If they could reach them, they might escape and lose fewer attribute points.
After days of effort, they had gained nothing.
The price they paid was far higher than the reward.
A few days later, Joanna decided to leave Voidreach Town.
She had cleared the dungeon enough times.
Tom came to see her.
“Ms. Joanna,” Tom said seriously, “our town truly has nothing valuable left to offer. So all 6,289 of us made this instead. We carved a stone monument and signed our names on it to thank you. Please accept it p>
Tom stepped aside and pulled away a red velvet cloth. Behind it was a brown stone slab, about 16 feet long and 4 feet wide.
The stone looked like it was made from the soil of Wasteland Star itself. It carried a trace of radiation and something heavier. Almost like dried blood from tens of thousands of townspeople.
At the top were two large words: “Goddess Monument p>

Below them were thousands of signatures.
“Goddess Monument (Mythic Tier): This monument contains 1 point of Faith Power. Congratulations. You have found a path toward godhood p>
This was the first Mythic-tier item Joanna had ever obtained. Even though she already had three Transcendent contract beasts, this still surprised her.
The monument itself didn’t look useful at all. It was rough, heavy, and slightly radioactive.
If an ordinary person stood next to it for too long, their skin would start to sting.
And yet, it held faith power, and the system marked it as Mythic Tier.
As for what it could actually do, Joanna had no idea.
She would have to study it later.
Still, even if it weren’t Mythic Tier, this monument mattered to her. She accepted it without hesitation.
Under the reluctant gazes of Tom and the townspeople, Joanna activated Astral Step and returned to the Academy.
Over the next few days, Joanna’s bounty hunter squads stayed busy.
Lucas and his group stood out too much. They were easy to track.
Joanna ambushed them three more times, completely crushing their plan to rebuild the blood
circle.
More and more people joined the bounty teams.
Joanna could now post missions and assign hunters to chase Lucas’s group directly.
Viola never got a moment to rest. She barely had time to breathe.
Inside the inner space of the Evil God, Viola stared at what was left of her body.
She had lost both legs. Viola began to break down mentally.
“Hang in there, Viola,” Bruce said as he held her up. “Just one more day. Joanna’s semester starts tomorrow. The academy homework is brutal. She probably won’t keep chasing us p>
Bruce was usually quiet. He didn’t talk much.

But when it mattered, he always knew how to comfort people. You could see the kindness beneath his calm face.
Viola let out a slow breath and nodded. “Yeah. Academy students are scary. Let’s stay far away p>
It had only been 20 days. They went from trying to capture Joanna and frame her to never daring to provoke her again.
Divine and Demonic Academy.
The annual Freshman Assembly began.
The event lasted over an hour. Senior students put on performances to welcome the newcomers and show off their strength. At the end, there were sparring matches between seniors and freshmen. It showed how much stronger the seniors had become after enrolling. It gave the freshmen a goal and sent a warning.
Resources were limited. The seniors didn’t want the freshmans taking their share.
“Welcome to the academy,” a clear voice announced. “I’m Sophie Armstrong, majoring in apocalyptic dungeons and president of the Public Relations Club p>
“I’m George McDaniel,” another voice followed. “Public Dungeon Studies, Vice President of the Public Relations Club p>
Both were good-looking and confident. They stood tall on the stage and drew everyone’s attention.
After the opening ceremony, the performances began.
The first act was a magic fireworks show.
Magic-type professionals gathered together. They shaped their spells into glowing fireworks and launched them into the night sky. The freshmen gasped.

After the fireworks ended, another group walked onto the stage.
