“He’s accusing me of kidnapping you across worlds. Looks like he wants to take you back p>
Nighthowl’s brow tightened at once.
“I’m not going back p>
Joanna laughed.
“Good. Even if you wanted to go back, I wouldn’t let you. Do you really want to leave me p>
“Of course not!” Nighthowl said firmly. He leaned closer, resting his head on her shoulder.
“I would never leave you p>
“Don’t worry,” Joanna said gently, patting his head. “I’ll take care of it p>
After a moment of thought, she used Astral Step and returned to Violetlight City on Chromatic Star.
Inside the conference room, Arlington was already waiting, pacing with clear anxiety.

The door opened, and Joanna walked in.
Arlington inhaled sharply.
He had never seen a Guide this powerful. Her spiritual presence was vast, like endless clouds filling the sky. Her aura seemed to press into his senses. There was not a single flaw about her.
A Guide like this-if she appeared in interstellar space-she could ruin countless sentinels with just one glance. They would empty their fortunes just to sign a contract with her.
“Hello, Sentinel Arlington. I’m the contractor of the Nighthowl you’re looking for,” Joanna said.
Arlington stared, mouth wide open. General Nighthowl had bonded a Guide this powerful?

“Hello, Guide Lane!” Arlington said excitedly. “You’re perfect. The chosen one. If you lived in interstellar space, all sentinels would treat you as royalty.
“As long as you form a contract, their wealth becomes yours. Enormous wealth! Would you— would you consider coming back with me p>
Joanna raised an eyebrow.
She had expected him to come for Nighthowl.
She hadn’t expected him to try and take her too.
“No,” she said calmly. “I think the Space Alliance is a great civilization. It suits me better. We don’t use the word “guide” here. We’re called Summoners. You may call me Ms. Lane.
“Thank you for the invitation, but I have no plans to leave the Space Alliance p>
As for gaining someone’s wealth through a contract, Joanna only smiled lightly.
She had learned about interstellar civilization from Nighthowl and Alwyn. Most of the Guides were women. Although they controlled the sentinels’ wealth, these Guides were rare and valuable; they were forbidden from entering battle. The next moment, a door from the Underworld opened.
Out jumped a small gray wolf cub.
Joanna struggled not to laugh. She scooped Nighthowl into her arms and rubbed his head several times.
“I honestly don’t know if you’re crazy or I am,” she said cheerfully. “How can your people call something this cute a twisted sentinel? Isn’t he adorable? Muah, muak, muah p>
She kissed Nighthowl’s forehead.
Then she added calmly, “The twisted sentinels you talk about, once they’re signed a contract with a Summoner, they become fluffy little animals p>
