In the photo, Marcia looked to be about twenty-five or twenty-six.
She had a round face, slightly plump, and stood around five-foot-five. Her features were pleasant but unremarkable-just an ordinary young woman.
Caitlin Kensington studied Marcia’s face carefully, then asked, “Grandma, do you remember Marcia’s full name p>
“I’m afraid I don’t,” Keira replied, shaking her head. “Back then, everyone just called her Marcia p>
Over the years, the Gonzales family had gone through plenty of housekeepers. Apart from the butler, Keira couldn’t recall any of the others’ real names.
Keira turned to Caitlin, “Freya, why are you suddenly so interested in Marcia p>
“Oh, it’s nothing,” Caitlin said lightly, pausing for a moment before adding, “Grandma, please don’t mention to Aunt Amanda that I asked about Marcia p>
Although Keira had said Marcia was someone she’d hired, Caitlin’s instincts told her that if Marcia was hiding something, Amanda Gonzales might well be involved too.
Amanda was a master at concealing things.
During all her investigations, Caitlin had never found anything questionable about Amanda. But sometimes, the more perfect someone appeared, the more suspicious it seemed.
She’d never let her guard down around Amanda.
Keira, sharp as ever, immediately understood what her granddaughter was getting at. She took a deep breath and said, “Don’t worry, Catie. I know what you mean. I won’t mention any of this to your aunt p>
She patted Caitlin’s arm, her voice gentle but firm. “As a mother, I trust your aunt. I truly believe Amanda has nothing to do with any of this p>
