She bought clothes for Keira and Hannah, too.
After their shopping spree, the two of them grabbed some barbecue together.
It wasn’t until after nine that night that Caitlin finally made it home.
The next day, she spent a quiet day with Fortune, cooking together and barely leaving the house.
On the third day, Caitlin accompanied Fortune on a short trip to the neighboring city.
They had a fantastic two days exploring, and afterward, Caitlin dropped Fortune back in Silverhaven before heading off to catch her flight home to The Capital.
She hadn’t told Keira she was coming back that day.
So, when Keira saw Caitlin in the garden, she thought her eyes were playing tricks on her.

“Grandma!” Caitlin called out, her face lighting up.
Keira rushed over, grabbing Caitlin’s hands in disbelief. “It really is you, Freya! You’re back p>
Caitlin smiled. “Who else could it be? Come on, Grandma-let’s go inside p>
“Of course.” Keira nodded, following Caitlin eagerly.
Once inside, Caitlin opened her suitcase and pulled out a shopping bag. “Grandma, I bought you some clothes while I was away. Why don’t you try them on and see if they fit p>
Clothes? Her granddaughter had bought her clothes? This was the first time Caitlin had ever done that.
It wasn’t until Keira was actually holding the outfit in her hands that she believed it was real. “Oh, thank you, I’ll go try them on right away p>
Moments later, Keira emerged from her room.
Caitlin had chosen well-a pale blue suit in a classic, timeless style. Paired with the pearl necklace Keira always wore, it made her look at least ten years younger. Elegant and dignified.
It was just as the saying went: true beauty never fades with age.
Even Mae, their housekeeper, couldn’t help but comment, “Madam, Miss Freya has such great taste! That outfit looks like it was made just for you-it really brings out your best features p>
Keira beamed. “Of course! Freya’s always had an eye for these things p>
She turned to Caitlin, her eyes shining. “Freya, I absolutely love it p>
Caitlin stepped over and gently fixed a loose strand of Keira’s hair. “If you like it, Grandma, I’ll bring you new clothes more often p>
Keira’s smile grew even wider at that.
Before she knew it, another week had passed.
The day arrived for Caitlin to leave for Neon Spire.
When Hannah heard Caitlin was coming, she was so excited she barely slept.
She was up at the crack of dawn to get ready for the airport.

Meanwhile, back in The Capital.
At exactly one in the afternoon, Caitlin boarded her plane.
She’d bought her own ticket, and, as usual, didn’t bother with business class—just
a regular economy seat. To get there, she had to walk through the business section.
Most of the business-class passengers were already settled in.
Katrina was one of them, sitting on the aisle. She noticed Caitlin the moment she entered not that it was hard, given how striking Caitlin looked. She was impossible to ignore.
Katrina narrowed her eyes, unable to hide the flash of jealousy there.
How could a face that beautiful belong to someone so ordinary? What a waste!
But so what if Caitlin was pretty?
She was still a nobody, not even able to afford a business-class ticket. Not like Katrina, who was not only from a distinguished family but also about to marry into the Richards family. This trip was for her and Xavier to get to know the Richards world ahead of time.
As Caitlin drew closer, a nasty glint flickered in Katrina’s eyes. She slyly stuck her foot out into the aisle, ready to trip Caitlin up and watch her make a fool of herself.
With so many people on the plane, and Caitlin wearing a dress, a fall would be both messy and humiliating.
Caitlin was just about to step past when Katrina smirked, waiting for the impending disaster.
