so they faked a trailer and pretended they’d built a triple-A game!

Jasper hurried into Julian’s office, his footsteps echoing on the polished floor.
Julian pinched the bridge of his nose. “What is it now p>
“Have you seen what’s trending on Twitter? Apex Game Studios just released a gameplay video. It looks like they might’ve actually developed the country’s first triple-A game.” As he spoke, Jasper handed Julian his phone.
The moment Jasper saw the trending topic, he nearly blacked out from shock.
He never imagined that Apex Game Studios could achieve triple-A technology- especially without him.
Julian took the phone and glanced at the trending feed, a mocking smirk curling on his lips. “If they’d really cracked triple-A development, they wouldn’t have to show off on Twitter p>
People are all the same: the more they lack, the more they flaunt.
It was obvious. Apex Game Studios was just trying to generate buzz before launch. Otherwise, who would download their second-rate game?
But Apex Game Studios seemed to have forgotten one thing: hype alone doesn’t cut it. You need real talent. Without it, come launch day, they’ll just be a laughingstock.

“Just wait,” Julian continued, leaning back in his chair. “Their most embarrassing moment is yet to come p>
Jasper took a deep breath, calming down. Julian was right. Triple-A development wasn’t some beginner’s trick-even he had only scratched the surface. Apex Game Studios was a mess of amateurs. There was no way they could pull this off so easily.
“Anything else?” Julian turned his gaze back to Jasper.
“That’s all, sir.” Jasper started to leave, then paused as if remembering something. “Mr. Chandler, I heard you’re getting engaged to Miss Barrett. Congratulations p>
“Thank you. Make sure you’re at the engagement party. Sophie and I would be glad to see you there p>

Skyler strode in, excitement lighting up his face as he handed his phone to Gordon. “Uncle, check this out-it’s Apex’s latest video. Everyone in the comments says it’s fake. Do you think it’s real or not p>
Gordon took the phone, his voice low and thoughtful. “It doesn’t look doctored p>
Though a titan in investment banking, Gordon had a keen interest in gaming. He was also the mastermind behind “Last Bullet,” the global sensation produced by Sylvester Group’s own KIMI Games.
Few people knew that KIMI Games was a subsidiary of Sylvester Group; the industries seemed so far apart.
Skyler’s eyes gleamed with excitement. “So you’re saying there’s a real chance Apex has made the country’s first triple-A game? That’s incredible! Do you think the new shareholder, Miss Kensington, is the one behind it, or is someone else calling the shots? If it really is that mysterious Miss Kensington, then she’s practically a genius p>
Gordon’s sharp gaze narrowed slightly. He was just as curious-who was the real developer behind this?
Skyler continued, “Honestly, most game developers are men, especially at this level. It’s rare to see a woman pulling this off-let alone a triple-A title! I’d say there’s only a thirty percent chance it’s really Miss Kensington p>
In Skyler’s mind, the mastermind had to be a man as talented as his uncle.
He grinned, teasing, “Uncle, you’ve always been the king of homegrown games. Looks like you’ve finally met your match p>
Standing at the top of his field, Gordon found himself, for the second time since Caitlin, profoundly curious about someone. He turned to look out the window, his eyes dark and unreadable.
Julian had long been the media’s darling-heralded as the financial world’s dark horse of the decade. Add in Sophie, the celebrated prodigy, and a little push from The Chandler Group’s PR machine, and their engagement quickly shot to the top of trending news.
