Chapter 116

“What was that all about?” George asked as soon as Elara stepped out of the room.

“Nothing,” She didn’t elaborate, and George didn’t push it either.

He just glared at Daniel before rolling his eyes.

What was he doing? The man was practically in love with his sister. And now that he had asked him to protect her as long as he loved her, there was no going back.

“Can you cook?” She asked George, who arched his brows.

“He can.” Elara pointed to Daniel, who was leaning on the doorframe, his gaze trained on his phone as he read the latest reports on the rogue gang members they had recently caught, who were found snooping near their bases.

[Sir, what should we do with them?] Alen messaged him.

[Interrogate and if you find anything, kill them p>

Alen: [And what if we don’t find anything p>

“Will you?” Elara asked Daniel at the same time.

Daniel looked at Elara, then at the message, and his lips lifted slightly.

[You know what to do p>

Daniel messaged before nodding to his woman.

“Anything for you, my ifrit,” he said.

George, who had walked to the couch, turned to look at the man with raised brows.

“Do you seriously call my sister ’little demon’?” George asked, stupefied.

Daniel nodded as if there was no shame in doing that.

“There’s no name that matches her personality better,” he said and walked to the kitchen to cook for her.

“Your eyes made my heart fall for you. I want to spend my life drowning in your eyes,” Daniel said to Elara, and the girl blushed hard while George shook his head.

Seriously, why did he bother coming at this time? He should’ve talked to him alone. At least that way, he wouldn’t have to bear all this. George massaged the area between his brows before stepping towards the balcony to enjoy the view.

The view of the city, even from the fifth floor, was marvelous, maybe the reason why Elara insisted on living in this apartment despite already having been attacked once.

“This reminds me, what happened to the attackers from the last time? You seriously dropped the investigation for those papers?” George asked.

Elara, who was scrolling through the entertainment news, looked up at the question and shook her head.

“No?” he asked.

Elara nodded this time.

“I let go of the investigation. There was not much to investigate. The perpetrators were only Carla and Beatrice. And no, I haven’t let go of the matter if that’s what you think. It’s just… Beatrice isn’t that famous at the moment,” Elara said.

Elara didn’t explain further. She didn’t need to. The fire of revenge burning in her heart wasn’t so small that it would extinguish just with a few blows.

Those mockery-filled eyes, that laugh after every single text, that victorious smirk after Beatrice would successfully paint her as the criminal, and that smile that always said she was untouchable. Elara remembered it all.

George realized the hidden meaning behind her words.

He smiled and shook his head.

“Now that you are back, I don’t understand if I should protect you or the world from you,” he said.

At the same time, in the abandoned construction site, a woman walked on the uneven cemented stairs, her heart beating a little erratically as she held a bento box in her hand.

She looked around, a squeal almost leaving her mouth when a rock slipped from under her foot, and her body stumbled forward, nearly sending her down the stairs because there were no railings.

She grabbed the side of the beam, heaving a sigh of relief when she didn’t fall.

“Damn it. Was this the only place he could choose to call me over?” She gritted out, biting her bottom lip to control her frustration.

Her heels clacked on the cemented pavement as she made her way to the fourth floor, her brows furrowed before they relaxed slightly when she saw the silhouette of the man who was facing away from her.

The smoke and the smell indicated he had been smoking, and she pursed her lips.

She was struggling so much, and here he was, smoking as if nothing was wrong.

“Seriously? Were you planning to kill me? Who calls someone in a place like this out of nowhere? It’s almost night, and this place doesn’t even have proper lighting to begin with. Only a person wrong in their senses would come here,” The woman nearly yelled at the man.

The man turned swiftly, extinguishing the cigarette butt under his shoes.

“I know. That is exactly what makes this place perfect to conduct my revenge,” The man said.

The woman arched her brows and walked to the middle of the undeveloped hall before placing the bento box on the table.

“Here is the take-out food you asked for. I don’t care what you are planning or want to do, but keep me out of it. And don’t call me like that again. I am not just someone you can have at your beck and call,” the woman said.

Her words made the man chuckle.

“I know. I know you are not just someone, but even after that, you’ll come running to me and do everything as I tell you because you are afraid that if I open my mouth, things will go dirty, real dirty for you.” The man’s eyes glinted with malice.

He rubbed the tip of his tongue over his teeth, his lips lifting in a lopsided smile full of mockery and challenge, and the woman before him glared hard.

“You wouldn’t dare. The only reason I am here is because I consider you a special friend. No other feelings,” she said.

The man walked to her before he snuck his hand around her waist.

“Be careful of what you say, woman. My eyes should tell you I am not exactly in the mood to joke or mess around. You were and will always be my plaything,” the man said, and without a warning, he turned her around, pressed her face on the table with one hand, while the other hand lifted her skirt.

“No! You promised me you would never force it!” The woman cried in horror, unable to break free from his grip

The man chuckled before he hooked his finger around her panties and pulled them down.

“Oh, baby. It won’t be forced if you want it as much as I want it. You can deny it all, but the truth is, you are a filthy bitch. You like this kind of manhandling, and your wet pussy wants nothing more than for me to ravage it.” The man said before he bent and gave it a hard lick, making the woman squirm.

A soft, involuntary moan escaped her lips, and the man chuckled, blowing hot breath over her inner thighs.

“I was right, wasn’t I, Beatrice?” The man asked.

“Y-yes, sir,” the woman groaned when the man pushed his finger inside her, her body arching for more.
