“Where am I?” That was Elara’s first question when she opened her eyes.
The last thing she remembered was being taken to the military base by her grandfather, who wanted to have some quality time with her.
However, out of nowhere, he heard of an emergency and had to rush to review the details of the problem with his subordinates.
She was roaming around the room, checking all the luxuries, smiling at the medals displayed on the wall, when she felt someone’s presence behind her.
Before she could even turn, someone placed their hand on her neck, and the next thing she knew, she lost consciousness immediately.

Elara looked at the luxurious bedroom, the black walls with expensive furniture catching her a little off guard.
“You are awake,” She heard a familiar voice, and turned towards the bathroom.
To say she was surprised would be an understatement.
“What is going on?” She asked, her gaze traveling to the man’s abdomen, following the trail of water drops that were vanishing somewhere in that towel wrapped around his torso that was doing a good job of hiding his manhood, but doing nothing to stop her imagination.
“Well, it’s my honor to break it to you that you have been kidnapped, my little ifrit,” Daniel said before he walked to her in confident steps.
Elara didn’t react for some time before she pressed her face on her hand and looked at him.
“If you wanted to meet me, you could’ve just told me. Why would you take such a risk to infiltrate the army headquarters? My grandfather would be furious,” Elara sighed.
Daniel nodded.
He walked to her and then placed a chaste kiss on her forehead.
“Staying away from you even for an hour seems like a task to me, baby. Besides, that old man was one of the people who strongly opposed my presence around you. I doubt he would let me have you so easily. Why did you think he took you to the army headquarters?” Daniel asked.
Elara looked at him, confused.
She thought her grandfather just wanted to spend some quality time with her, nothing more. But now that she thought about it, he was right.
If he really just wanted to spend some time with her, he could’ve taken her to their house or any other property, but why did he bring her to the headquarters?
The way he appeared right outside the registrar’s office, he must’ve found out about her marriage to Andrew, the things she suffered, the divorce, and if he found out about so many things, he must’ve found out about Daniel’s presence around her.
Or it was Daniel’s presence that actually brought him back.
As she thought about all those things, she felt her phone vibrate beside her and looked at the number with pursed lips.
“Pick up,” Daniel said before he removed the blanket softly and got into bed with her.
Elara blushed when her hands brushed against his naked chest as he pulled her close, placing her head on his chest.

“So he took you away, didn’t he?” Her grandfather asked.
Elara looked at Daniel, who smirked, too proud of his work.
“Um… I don’t know what you are talking about, grandpa,” Elara tried, and the man on the other end chuckled.
“There’s no one more capable of infiltrating this base and taking away my granddaughter without being noticed than that man who served in the army himself and has the guts to stand against me. I am not doubting him. What I want to know is where are you? I will come to take you,” Her grandfather said.
Elara looked at Daniel, who tightened his hold on her.
Though he wouldn’t admit it outright, she could see it in the way he held her, looked at her, kissed her, and her heart melted at the little details.
“Grandpa, I like him,” Elara whisperey.
There was silence on the other end for some time while Daniel’s hands froze around her.
“You liked Andrew too, didn’t you?” Her grandfather asked, and Elara was tongue-tied for a few seconds before she smiled.
“In that case, I might be falling in love with this man,” She said.
If her earlier words were surprising with the elegance with which she said them, these words were like a direct shot to his heart, and Daniel couldn’t control his emotions.
He turned her around so her legs were on either side of him before he hugged her close, placing his face in the crook of her neck.
Elara’s heart skipped a beat, and she was about to speak when the man beat her to it.
“You can’t take her away from me this time. You elders meddled with my love life for too long. It’s your fault she had to suffer so much. If you guys hadn’t brought that astro thing in between, we would’ve already been married with five kids. Stop interfering,” Daniel said, his lips moving against her skin, making her blush even harder at the choice of his words.
Five kids? Wasn’t that too much?
“You! Insolent child! How dare you dream of five kids with my granddaughter!” The old man said.
Daniel grabbed the phone from Elara’s hand before placing it near his ears.
“I am going to make love to her day and night endlessly. It’s all up to her how many times she wants to conceive. After all, it’s her body. Do you have a problem?” Daniel asked defiantly.
Elara’s eyes widened at his words.
Why was he speaking like that? How will she ever face her grandfather like that?
“You!” The old man raised his voice before shaking his head.
“Uhh… why did I ever say to your grandfather that his grandson could marry my granddaughter. What was I drinking that night?” Elara’s grandfather said.
Daniel leaned forward and placed his lips on Elara’s softly.
“I think it was one of the finest wines in the world,” Daniel said.
“Is there anything you want to ask or say?” He added.
The line went silent for some time before that man opened his mouth.
“You will kneel before me to repent for your sins, and only then will I say yes to your wedding with my granddaughter,” the old man said.
Daniel cupped Elara’s face, looking directly into her eyes.
“I can kneel for days and weeks for her.” With that, he ended the call and tossed the phone aside.
Elara was about to open her mouth to ask what this was all about and what sins they were talking about, but Daniel beat her to it.
He placed his lips on hers, pecking her lips repetitively.
“Stay the night with me, my love. I’ll drop you off at the location of your shoot tomorrow,” Daniel said.
Elara had many questions about the dynamics of what really happened that time when she lost her memories, but for now, she didn’t want to focus on anything else.
She finalized her divorce today, and something good had finally happened in her life.
Now she was free of all the shackles that marriage had clamped around her ankles.
“I am hungry,” Elara replied, and the man chuckled before nodding.
“Let me fill your stomach with food before I fill you with my love,” Daniel said.
“With your love?” Elara asked, widening her eyes.
Daniel, who was just joking, looked at her and raised his brows when he realised what she was insinuating by repeating the sentence.
“Don’t tempt me, baby. I’ll seriously do something bad now that you aren’t married anymore,” Daniel said.
“And when did I say I wasn’t ready for that?” Elara asked.
Daniel arched his brows.
“I mean, most girls go to clubs to celebrate their happy divorce, get a hot stranger or an escort to spend the night, and have fun. But why would I need that when I have you? So won’t you spend the night with me and let me drown in the booze of your love?” Elara asked.
“Don’t say I didn’t warn you,” Daniel murmured before he placed his lips on hers again, kissing her passionately.
