The Heartbroken Luna’s Choice: Banish Love

Chapter 95

Third Person’s POV

Samantha lowered her head, avoiding Alaina’s gaze.

She knew her position was unstable–Trista’s mating bond hadn’t been terminated, she was still the Luna.

Every expenditure Samantha made could be traced as “boundary violation,” and, severely, could be used against her by the Council.

Alaina raised her hand to signal the guards.

The pack escorts immediately positioned themselves, starting a formal inventory with ruthless efficiency.

Alaina gave Samantha an undisguised look of coldness. “Ms. Fernandez, out of consideration for Algernon, I give you thirty minutes. Pack your bags and move out p>

Samantha was incredulous. “Madam Simmons, you can’t be this cruel to us p>

Alaina interrupted her, her voice lower, but harder. “I am being restrained. The day Cassian formally executes the termination ritual–you will understand what true ruthlessness means p>

Samantha was nailed to the spot by Alaina’s look, the hand gripping her comm–stone slowly dropping.

Cassian’s stance was still ambiguous, and the one thing she couldn’t afford now was a direct confrontation with Alaina.

In the Ironthorn hierarchy, Samantha had no roster status, no crest, and no legitimate witnesses.

Pushing back would only lead to a more humiliating exit.

She fought back her emotions, leading Algernon back into the room to pack.

Half an hour later, Samantha emerged, pulling a suitcase, but the escorts stopped her.

One escort bent down, opening the suitcase to check the contents item by item. Another walked up to Samantha, his voice flat and cold. “Ms. Fernandez, please hand over your shoulder bag p>

Samantha instinctively looked at Alaina.

The look received no acknowledgement, not even a glance.

She stiffened and placed the designer bag aside.

The escort produced a black storage sack and, in front of her, emptied the contents of the bag piece by piece–makeup, loose personal items, all mixed together without separation.

He then tied the bag shut and handed it back to her.

The plastic crinkled faintly in her palm.

Samantha bit her lip, accepting the ridiculously light bag, which felt like it contained her entire self–respect.

She desperately wanted to vanish from the house.

The suitcase check finished. The escort closed the case and pushed it back to her.

Forshed

Her eyes red, she looked up at Alaina, her voice a barely audible tremor. “Madam Simmons… may we leave now? ”

Alaina was placing a small potted plant back on the windowsill.

Hearing the question, she turned and walked calmly toward Samantha.

Her eyes settled on the black bag in Samantha’s hand. Her voice was unhurried but unmistakably sharp. “Smart people know that changing your circle means changing your life track p>

She paused, looking Samantha up and down. “But your standing depends entirely on your inherent worthiness p>

Alaina’s gaze lingered on Samantha’s face for a final, cutting moment. “Ms. Fernandez–what do you have left p>

With that, she turned and left, offering no further look.

Samantha stood paralyzed, staring at the straight, cold back.

She fiercely suppressed her emotions, but her body trembled faintly–not from fear, but from the feeling of being utterly stripped, itemized, and denied.

She understood one signal from Alaina’s words: Cassian and Trista were quickly heading toward the

termination ritual.

Once that step was completed, she would have her chance.

She had to seize that narrow opportunity and become the truly accepted figure in the Ironthorn pack.

And she would make that she–wolf pay for her cruelty today.

Three o’clock in the afternoon, Los Angeles.

At Cassian and Trista’s house, lights were blazing in the master bedroom and the study upstairs.

Humphrey and several omegas systematically directed men to load valuable items onto vehicles. Every action followed a checklist; there was no unnecessary conversation.

In the yard, Fred stood by the steps, watching. He scoffed. “Trista didn’t hate the house because it was old, she hated it because you’re dirty. What good does clearing out the furniture do p>

He added, his tone colder. “Until you set things straight, she won’t come back. Just wait for her to file that termination petition p>

Cassian stood still, his black business suit sharp, his expression complex and unreadable. “I let her go abroad for space p>

His voice was steady, carrying an unquestionable belief. “I won’t let her take it to the Werewolf Council p>

Just then, a taxi stopped at the villa gate.

Samantha got out, her eyes red. Seeing the frantic activity in the yard, her step faltered.

She approached Fred to greet him, but Fred bent down to brush a leaf off the ground, acting as if he hadn’t heard her.

She stood there, humiliated.

Seeing everyone busy, she walked toward Cassian, c

Cassian didn’t answer directly. “What are you doing here p>

Samantha glanced at Fred, swallowed whatever she

“You two talk,” Fred said, clearly uninterested, and walked away.

Cassian immediately commanded, “Deal with the rest tomorrow p>

The omegas quickly complied, withdrawing the

Humphrey also wisely got into his car to wait.

Once the yard was quiet, Cassian and Samantha walked together into the living room.
