With that, he led her up to the second floor and opened the door to one of the bedrooms. Tania and several others followed close behind.
Inside the room-
An elderly man lay on a wide bed. His eyes were sunken, his skin pale, and he wore an oxygen mask. His breathing was faint and shallow. He looked completely lifeless. A set of medical machines stood at his bedside, quietly displaying numbers. Without those readings, it would be hard to believe he was still alive.
Several doctors in white coats stood nearby, along with a few nurses. One silver-haired doctor was reviewing a report in his hand.
When Lilian entered, everyone paused mid-discussion and turned to stare at her in surprise.
Jorge studied the young girl seriously. So this was the miracle worker who had cured Mr. Austin’s granddaughter? He couldn’t help feeling shocked.
He knew about the granddaughter’s case-congenital heart disease. By modern medical standards, completely untreatable. And yet, she had recovered.
He’d even tried visiting Mr. Austin to learn who had treated her, but Austin had kept quiet.
Now, with Mr. Robert gravely ill, Mr. Austin had promised to bring that same doctor. Jorge had agreed without hesitation. But he never expected this “miracle doctor” to be such a young girl

But after reviewing the case, every doctor-Jorge included-had admitted defeat. There was nothing anyone could do.
So when Mr. Austin suddenly claimed Rina had been healed by a miracle doctor, no one had believed it at first. Now, as he introduced Lilian as that very doctor, everyone looked on in disbelief.
She was far younger than they’d imagined-almost shockingly so.

With that, she stepped toward the bed and examined Mr. Robert briefly, then placed two fingers against his wrist.
In truth, she didn’t even need the pulse. With her current ability, one glance told her everything she needed to know.
Cerebral vascular degeneration. Multiple organs in late-stage failure. The blood flow to his brain was critically low, and most of his brain’s functional areas were rapidly deteriorating.
To put it plainly-by modern medical standards, he was done. All they could do was keep him lying here… waiting for the inevitable.
