Lilian turned toward the voice. What a coincidence-there was Ethan, Carson, the girl named Joy, and another unfamiliar woman.
Ethan walked over, smiling as he looked at the group. “What are you all doing here p>
Natalie grinned. “Ethan, I brought Jill and the others. We finally finished exams-of course we had to celebrate p>
Jill nodded. “Yeah, we just wrapped up finals, so I dragged Lilian out with us p>
Ethan smiled at the girl in front of him. Her oversized black-rimmed glasses covered most of her face-if he hadn’t looked closely, he wouldn’t have realized it was Lilian.
“Hey, little one, what’s with the glasses p>
Lilian smiled back and pushed them up her nose. “I think they look good. What, is that a problem p>
Ever since her video had gone viral, she’d started wearing glasses to avoid unnecessary trouble.
“They look great. How could they not?” Ethan said with a grin.
Just then, the unfamiliar young woman beside him stepped forward, curiosity in her voice. “Ethan, who are your friends?” Nancy had never seen Ethan joke around like this with any girl before.
Ethan’s tone was calm. “This is my sister. The others are her friends.” He didn’t go into further detail, since they weren’t exactly close.
Nancy smiled at Jill. “Hi, Jill. I’m Nancy, you can call me by my name. I’ve heard all about Ethan’s beautiful sister-turns out the rumors were true p>
Jill offered a polite, faint smile. “Mm, nice to meet you p>
Then Joy came over, smiling as she spoke to the girls. “Since you’re already here, why not join us? A group of girls out alone-makes us a little nervous. The more, the merrier p>
“Exactly. Natalie’s always talking about her besties. Since we ran into each other, let’s hang out together,” Carson added, stepping over to Jill.
Jill glanced at him, then turned to Lilian. “Should we p>
She still couldn’t completely let go of her feelings for Carson, but after that night, she’d come to understand some things and was slowly learning to move on.
When Carson saw the look Jill gave him-no longer full of the heat it used to carry-he felt a dull ache in
his chest.
“Sure, the more the merrier. We’re all just out to have some fun anyway.” Lilian glanced at Jill, then at Carson, a faint, unreadable smile on her lips.
The group headed into a private room.

Natalie gave Jill a look. Jill sighed, smiling helplessly. “Please don’t pick me. You know I’m totally hopeless when it comes to stuff like that p>
Luna stood up, laughing as she pulled Natalie along. “Alright, quit bullying them. I’ll go with you.” The two of them headed out.
Lilian watched them go and shook her head with a smile.

Ethan looked over. “Lilian, why aren’t you out there with Natalie?” he asked, handing her a glass of juice.
Lilian took it with a smile and leaned back into the sofa. “I can’t dance. That’s one of my weak spots p>
“No way. I didn’t think there was anything you couldn’t do,” Jill teased. After hearing Lilian sing so casually yet beautifully last time, Jill had come to admire her deeply. Not only was she a top student and an incredible singer, she was also gifted in medicine. Jill was starting to think she could do everything.
Lilian sipped her drink and stole a glance at the man sitting across from her. Then she looked at Jill. “I’m not superhuman. What about you? Why aren’t you dancing p>
“I can’t either.” Jill took a sip from her glass, her gaze drifting unconsciously toward a certain direction, and her expression dimmed.
Following her line of sight, Lilian saw Carson lounging on the sofa. His girlfriend was sitting sweetly beside him, carefully peeling nuts and feeding them to him. Carson smiled gently and took them into his mouth.
“Mr. Carson really is a lucky guy, huh? Such a sweet girlfriend p>
Carson looked at the girl beside him and smiled warmly. “Yeah, I like girls with Joy’s kind of personality p>
Joy blushed instantly.
Nancy wrapped her arm around Joy’s with a teasing laugh. “My cousin only turns into a little bunny around Carson. At home, she’s the one getting spoiled by everyone p>
“Cousins? You two are cousins?” Lilian asked in surprise,
“Yep. Can’t you tell? People say we look a lot alike. Don’t they?” Nancy shot a meaningful glance toward the man beside her.
Ethan said nothing, just smiled and sipped his drink.
