With so many issues stacking up at the company, by the time the two of them were done, night had already fallen. When their talk finally wrapped up, Wayne stood and headed out first-after all, there was still someone else sitting there, waiting.
Noticing the stack of files still sitting on the table, Lillian stretched her arms above her head.

Her grin turned mischievous. “How about… treating you to another meal p>
Sebastian nodded as if considering it, then replied smoothly, “Fine. As long as you serve yourself up along with it, I’d be delighted p>
A flush bloomed across her cheeks. She swatted at him, pouting. “Stop trying to charm me. That face of yours should come with a warning label p>
He couldn’t hold back a laugh. “So I really have that much effect on you, huh? Little lovestruck fool.” Reaching out, he gently pinched her nose.
Lillian froze for a beat, then bristled. “Who’s lovestruck? Look who’s talking p>
She pushed him away, hopped down from the desk, and huffed, “I’m not done with I’m ignoring you.” With that, she returned to her seat at the desk.
Watching her flustered expression, Sebastian couldn’t help but laugh again.
Lillian caught the smug look on his face and cursed inwardly. Damn it, played again.

“Who knows? Lillian’s in Kingston; he’s probably forgotten all about us,” Manny said sourly.
On the sofa, Fawks swirled the wine in his glass, his smile carrying a wicked edge. “I’m thinking he’s not coming tonight at all p>
Noreen frowned. “What makes you so sure, Fawks? How can you say that so confidently p>
“Exactly. Even if Lillian’s in Kingston, he could’ve just brought her along,” someone else added.
Fawks arched a brow, his handsome face twisting into that irritating half-smile of his.
Seeing that look, Manny thrust his phone toward Cameron. “Here—call him. Ask him directly p>
Cameron didn’t hesitate; he snatched the phone. “Fine, I’ll call. Who’s scared?” With that, he dialed Sebastian’s number.
