“You…” Morten was so furious he could barely form words.
Leon immediately pulled out his phone, dialed a number, and said, “Send someone to Kingston Hospital.” Then he hung up without hesitation.
“Ms. Harrington, if you can’t give a reasonable explanation today, then even if it costs the entire Lindt family, we’ll make sure you pay the price p>
“You wouldn’t dare,” Sebastian said sharply.
Lillian tossed the used tissues into the trash, her laugh cold. “Good. Since Mr. Leon wants to settle accounts with me, let’s do exactly that.” She pulled a recorder from her pocket.
Triny’s face instantly shifted to panic.
Watching her expression, Lillian smiled. “Don’t panic, Ms. Triny; stay calm. Today, we’ll take our time and settle everything clearly.” She pressed the button, and the recorder crackled to life.
Their voices spilled into the room, one after another.
Triny’s face shifted from pale to red, from red to green, and then back to red again.
The expressions around the room were equally colorful.
Sebastian listened carefully to every word. When he heard Lillian say, I wanted nothing more than to tear you apart, his chest tightened with an ache; so that’s how deeply that night scarred her.

Her denial rang hollow. Morten and Leon had nothing to say; their faces had flushed dark red.
