“I came to see Paisley. We met yesterday.” He said. And I looked at Paisley and the look on her face. The fear in her eye. She was terrified. But she knew that she didn’t need to be scared of me. There had to be another reason.
So I walked into the room and I sat on the couch.
“So, you two are mates.” I said.
“How did you know?” Paisley asked, still not looking at me.
“It’s pretty easy to see the signs.” I said.
“I never planned on this happening. He only just started talking about you this morning and wondering if it was true. That you were back and he told me what he used to do to you in high school. He said that you beating Alpha Logan yesterday is something that he never would have expected from you. I swear, Luna, I only just found out.” Paisley said.
“Stop apologizing. It’s not your fault. You can’t help who your mate is.” I said.
“You’re not angry about this?” Ryan asked.
“Get one thing straight. I’m petty. I’m very fucking petty and I don’t like you. I hold a grudge. Which is why I still hate you. But I can’t stand in between two mates.” I said.
“I really appreciate that.” Ryan said.
“I’m not doing it for you. I’m doing it for Paisley. And if you hurt her. I will kill you.” I said, standing up and I started to leave the room. But I stopped before I got to the doorway. “Oh, and I meant what I said about my kids. Keep your fucking hands off of them.” I glared. And he nodded his head.
I went to the kitchen to make a coffee and I heard the familiar clicking of high heels on the marble floors coming towards me. I just rolled my eyes and I turned around to lean against the bench with my coffee in my hand when I saw Penelope standing in front of me with an older gentleman.
“What have I done today?” I asked, before they had a chance to say anything.
“This is her.” Penelope said to the man.
“I’m Alpha George. Penelope’s uncle.” He said.
“Oh, you’re the famous uncle that I’ve heard so much about.” I said
“I guess I am.” He said.
“Well, I wish I could say that it’s a pleasure to meet you. But if you’re related to her, then I’m guessing it’s not.” I
said.
“You are a smart ass little bitch, aren’t you?” He asked.
“I try.” I said.
“I’m here to ask what the hell your intentions are for being in my neice’s house.” He said.
“I came here to see my mother. Who Logan moved into this house on his own account. And now it looks like I have to stay and try to sort out the massive shit show that Logan and your neice have created with these creatures that are attacking humans.” I said.

“So, you think you’re some kind of saviour?” He asked.
“I never said that. But since the leaders of this pack don’t know what the fuck they’re doing, it looks like I have to be.” I said.
“And your mate is alright with you being here?” He asked.
“Why wouldn’t he be? He’s here with me? We’re marked, mated and have children together. If she brought you
here because she thinks that I have some sort of interest in Logan, then you’ve wasted your time. I couldn’t give a shit about him. All I care about is keeping the army from wiping out the werewolf population.” I said.
“They aren’t attacking the whole population. Just this pack.” He said.
“If that’s what you really believe then you have no business calling yourself an Alpha.” I said.
“Alpha George.” Logan said, walking into the room.
“I was just having a chat with your ex mate.” George said.
“Well, maybe we can continue this in my office.” Logan said. And when they turned around they saw Ezra standing there.
“Ezra.” George said.
“George.” Ezra said through gritted teeth as he walked towards me and he kissed me good morning.
He looked over his shoulder and watched them walk off to the office before he turned back to me.
“I’m guessing you two don’t like each other.” I said.
“If I knew that he was Penelope’s uncle then I would have made sure we never came here.” Ezra said.
