Chapter 118
I was walking around outside the packhouse looking out into the woods while I was trying to figure out where this master could be hiding.
He’s been able to hide for hundreds of years. I knew he was close, but he could still be anywhere. We needed a plan to actually find him. I looked at the small window that led to the basement and I started wondering if that creature in the basement would return to it’s master.
It obviously wouldn’t lead us to him, but if thought he could escape and we didn’t know about it. There could be a chance.
I finally started feeling a plan coming together in my head. One that wasn’t going to put me in imminent danger, but it could possibly be our only way of finding the
master.
No one talks about him on the dark web or anywhere for that matter. We’ve got word out to all of our contacts, but as soon as we mention the master, everything changes. They change. They don’t want to know where he is or what he’s doing.
A lot of them just like to believe that he’s dead.
I wish I could do that. But this was too close to home at the moment. The
government was already getting ready to attack this pack and we didn’t have time to spare. As much as I hated these people, I felt a sense of responsibility to save them. I don’t know why. And I hated that feeling.
Even being here now with an Alpha mate and two kids, they are still treating me differently. But I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Logan did a damn good job of smeering my families name. Just to keep control of this pack.
But then I heard this weird breathing behind me. The scent was familiar, but also unfamiliar at the same time.
I turned around and I saw Logan’s father, the former Alpha, standing next to the building looking at me. So I turned face on to look at him.
My expression changed instantly and he knew that I knew the truth.
“So, your mother finally told you?” He asked.
“What? That you killed my father? That he didn’t actually die defending you? Yeah, she told me.” I said.
“Well, I am sorry about that. But, it had to be done.” He said.
“Why? Because you didn’t want my family taking back our pack? This pack that is rightfully ours?” I asked.
“Something like that. My father and grandfather fought too hard to get control of this pack. I wasn’t about to let all of their hard work go up in flames.” He said.
“Well, you made a mistake.” I said.
“And what’s that?” He asked.
“You didn’t kill me.” I said. And his eyes widened as I lunged at him, letting out a vicious roar as I tackled him to the ground. My claws and canines extended as he tried to push me off of him, but I managed to get my hand around his neck and my claws digging into his skin.
He stilled while he was on the ground, staring up into my eyes.
“You’re just as beautiful as your mother.” He said.

“My mother’s dead. Don’t you fucking dare talk about her.” I said.
“I know she is. I’m sorry.” He said.
I heard running coming from inside the house and Ezra and Logan both stopped when they got outside and saw the scene that was unfolding.
“I found your dead dad.” I said to Logan.
“I told you to leave the pack, dad. What the hell is wrong with you?” Logan asked.
“You knew I was never going to leave. This is my pack.” His dad said.
“Hey, you’re talking to me now. Not him.” I said.
“Dad. I told you that I won’t be able to protect you if Morgan sees you.” Logan said. And his dad looked back at me.
“Are you going to kill me?” He asked. And I dug my claws in a little deeper, so blood started dripping out of the side of his neck.
“What do you think?” I asked.
He was obviously in pain, but he was being really stubborn about it. He showed off a sly little grin that showed defiance against me.
“You’re going to make me suffer. Like a true Alpha.” He said.
“I’m not an Alpha. I’m just a vengeful daughter.” I said, plunging my other clawed hand into his chest.
He let out an aweful scream and he was breathing really hard and when he realized he wasn’t dead yet, he relaxed a little. But I didn’t like that. He didn’t deserve to relax. So I twisted me claws that were in his chest, causing him to scream again. “Do something Logan.” He yelled.
“I told you to leave dad. You should have.” Logan said, not even attempting to stop me or even walking near me.
“Paisley, Get the kids back inside. Don’t let them come out here.” Ezra said. I could tell that Paisley was right
inside the back door.
She had obviously come to see what all the noise was about. But I heard her running back to where the kids were and a door closed. So I knew the kids were safe.
I looked back down at this pathetic excuse of a man that used to be a feared Alpha. He was nothing anymore. He wasn’t even good enough to be considered pathetic. “Why don’t you just kill me?” He spat at me.
“I plan to. But, how does this feel?” I asked, twisting my hand again, And again, he let out another scream.
I smirked at him while I saw him squirming on the ground, he wasn’t begging for his life and I knew that he was too proud to ever do that. I wasn’t expecting it. But I knew that this was just as good.
“Do you really think you can kill those things without me?” He asked. His breathing getting very labored.
“You don’t need to worry about that anymore. I know I can kill them without you. So, sleep tight.” I said, and I moved my hand to the side in his chest and wrapped my hand around his heart.
In one quick thrust, I ripped it from his chest and dropped it on the ground beside
him.

I stood up and looked down at the body with absolutely no remorse or disgust for what I just did. But I turned around and Ezra and Logan were just looking at me like it was another day at the office.
They were both Alpha’s, and killing people, executing people, was part of the job description. They had both done it and they knew that it needed to be done sometimes.
They obviously believed that today was one of these days.
But I walked over to the garden hose and I washed all the blood off of my hands before I turned it off again and made sure that I looked alright before I went back inside.
“He said that we needed him to kill those creatures.” Ezra said.
“No, we don’t. I have a plan.” I said, walking past them and into the house.
