“We’ll never know now.” I said.
It didn’t take too long before the warriors caught up to us and we all shifted back into our wolves and we ran back to the pack.
The entire pack was out waiting for us to return and they were cheering and carrying on when they saw us running through the forest and into the clearing near the packhouse.
The whole pack had turned out for it. But I shifted just inside the treeline, along with Ezra, and we got dressed in there before we walked out into the clearing.
The sun was already up in the sky but it was still early in the morning. The pack didn’t seem to care. They had their children out of bed waiting to greet their father’s and if their father’s weren’t warriors then they were just out here to greet us all back home.
As soon as Ezra and I came into the clearing everyone suddenly stopped talking and they turned to look at us.
They would have felt the immediate shift in power as well when I killed Logan. That the pack was then given to me straight away.
I wasn’t sure how they felt about this because they all hated me. And I grew up with them hating me.
But as soon as I saw the first person take a knee in front of me, and then the second and then the third, and then followed by the rest of the pack, I stood there in shock. I couldn’t believe it.
They were kneeling to me. They were accepting me as their Alpha. All with the exception of one person.
“This is bullshit. I am not kneeling to you. I am pregnant with Logan’s baby. This baby is the heir to the pack.” Penelope yelled, pushing through the crowd.
“Alright. I’m gonna need you out of the packhouse by the end of the day. And as for that baby, you’re going to go and get a test done today where they use a really long needle to get emniotic fluid and we’re doing a DNA test.” I said.
“And what are you going to test it against? Logan is dead.” Penelope said. So I turned to look at Ezra. He just simply nodded his head at me.
“We’ll test it against Aiden.” I said.
“What?” She screeched. It was so loud that I actually had to clear my ears because it hurt so much.
“Logan and I slept together the night before you announced your engagement. Aiden is his son.” I said. And she stared at me in shock.
“You wait until my uncle hears about this. He is going to kill both of you.” Penelope said.
“Did you just threaten your Alpha?” Nathan asked.
“What?” She asked, realizing what she just did. She obviously didn’t think before she spoke.
“Alpha? Dungeon?” Nathan asked.
“Yeah. For now. And when she’s learnt her lesson, banish her from the pack. If her and her uncle are so close, she can go live with him.” I said.
So Nathan got a really wide smile on his face as he manhandled Penelope inside the packhouse and took her down

Suddenly Aiden came running down the stairs and straight into Ezra’s arms. He leaned over and kissed me. But the Paisley walked down the stairs holding Savannah. Paisley hugged me and told me how happy she was that we made it back okay.
She handed Savannah over to me and I hugged her really tight. I looked over at Ezra and he leaned forward and kissed me.
We knew that this was going to be a big effort with two packs. But I knew that we could make it work. We just needed to come up with a plan that was going to work for us. But as long as we were together, we were always going to make it work. No matter what.
