Ezra kneeled in front of me hugging me and comforting me. I knew that leaving this place was going to be hard and Ezra knew that as well.
He leaned back and he cupped my head in his hands while he looked me in the eye.
“Trust me. She’ll know where to find us.” Ezra said. And after that I couldn’t contain the tears anymore.
They rushed out of me like a flood gate had been opened. All of the emotions that I had been holding in for so long were all pouring out.
Ezra held me close to him again and hugged me not once caring that I was balling my eyes out like a little baby. He rubbed my back and comforted me and made sure that I knew that I wasn’t alone in all of this.
“I should have been there.” I sobbed out.
“What do you mean?” He asked.
“Instead of trying to help those damn vampires and your damn ex mate. I should have been there with my children.” I sobbed. But he pulled back to look at me again.
“All this time, have you been blaming yourself because you were trying to help Cory?” He asked. And I nodded my head. But he shook his head at me and pulled me closer to him again. “This is not your fault. This is what they wanted. They did this to get you away from the house. It was their plan. You have to believe me.” He said. But I kept shaking my head.
“What are they doing to her?” I asked. But he didn’t have an answer for that.
He got me to lie in bed and he laid down next to me, holding me tightly in his arms. Not letting me go for a second.
I fell asleep crying that night, tightly wrapped up in Ezra’s arms.
I didn’t know what came over me or why I suddenly told him that it was my fault that they took Savannah. But now he knew why I had been so distant. He did deserve that explanation. He didn’t deserve the way I had been treating him. But I wasn’t punishing him. I was punishing myself.
When I woke up the next morning Ezra was still there and He hugged me tightly and kissed the top of my head.
Not long after that the door swung open and Aiden was standing there.
“Daddy.” He yelled, running up and jumping on the bed.
“Hey buddy. I missed you so much.” Ezra said, hugging Aiden.
“What are you doing here?” Aiden asked. And Ezra looked at me waiting for me to give him a nod.
“Well, I am taking you and mommy home today.” Ezra said
“Really? We’re going back to the other packhouse?” Aiden sked.
“Yeah. We are. So, we have to go and get breakfast and then we have to start packing.” I said.
“We can have people pack for you. It’s a long drive.” Ezra sid.
So we got out of bed and headed downstairs to the dining room so I could go and make breakfast for everyone, Ezra was surprised that I was doing it myself and he called for a couple of omega’s to come to the packhouse.
He gave them the order to pack up my stuff and the kids’ stuff. We were taking Savannah’s things with us. We weren’t leaving anything behind.

Us three sat at the table together eating and I could see how happy Aiden was to have Ezra back. He had really missed him. And it was great to see them two playing around with each other. I really missed that.
As soon as we finished breakfast Aiden went to get dressed and I started going through all the final things that I needed to go through around the packhouse.
I called Cooper to the packhouse. He was the one that saved me that time in the alley when I was almost beaten to death. It wasn’t until Logan showed up at the hospital that they would even tend to me. He was someone I trusted and he never gave me any pushback when I became Alpha.
I did have to punish a lot of people and get really strict on them because they thought it was a joke because of how I grew up around here with no respect. But Cooper, even as a dishwasher, he was always nice to me.
