Chapter 185

Ezra looked like he was ready to kill Ben but Morgan was just standing there, looking between Ezra and Ben.

“Well, we don’t pick our mates. We just happened to send Savannah’s mate to her.” Morgan said, nonchalantly.

“What the hell have you two done?” Ezra asked.

“That’s none of your business.” I snapped. And Morgan placed her hand on Ezra’s

arm.

He turned to look at her and he seemed to calm down. She didn’t even need to say anything to him, but I could see that his face softened as soon as he looked at her.

Was that part of the mate bond? Is that what it does? Because I know that I always feel calmer and happier whenever Ben is around.

I’d always heard of a mate bond between wolves, but I didn’t know too much about

it.

Ben obviously knew all about it this whole time, but now I didn’t know whether to be pissed at him or love him even more.

I was getting so twisted up inside right now and I didn’t know what the hell to do.

I was surrounded by the things that I have been trained to kill and they are telling me that they are my parents.

I am one of them. What the fuck am I supposed to do with this.

I just looked at Ezra and Morgan, who were keeping their distance, and Ben was right next to me.

“They’re gonna notice that we’re gone.” I finally said.

“They’ve got a lot of people out. They think that they are being watched by wolves because you keep evacuating all of those packs.” Ben said to Ezra and Morgan.

“You’re going back?” Ezra asked.

“It’s all she knows.” Morgan said. But he looked at her like his heart was breaking. “I’m sorry. I have to get back. They’ll notice if I’m not there.” I said.

“They are going to fight to get Lilly back.” Ben said.

“Her name is Savannah.” Ezra demanded.

“She’s right. She needs to get back before they get busted out here with us. But we’re not going anywhere. And Savannah needs to get used to all of this.” Morgan said.

Morgan seemed to be really understanding about everything but Ezra looked like he was getting really upset about everything.

“What if she goes back and gets busted for being a wolf?” Ezra asked.

“Ezra. She is who they want. They will notice that she’s gone. They will come looking for her and she really needs to get used to the idea before she decides on anything.” Morgan said.

“I’m going back with her. She’s my mate. I am not leaving her side and she will not get into trouble.” Ben said.

“Do I get a say in any of this?” I asked. So they finally all stopped and looked at me. “We’re sorry. We know that we’re talking about you while you’re here.” Ben said. “What do you want to do?” Morgan asked.

“I’m going home. Before they realize that I’m missing.” I said, starting to walk away. “Don’t worry. I’ll stay with her and I’ll make sure that everything is alright.” Ben said, chasing after me.

We got back to the base and snuck back into the bunk house.

I didn’t speak to Ben at all for the rest of the night.

I just laid in bed and I stared at the ceiling all night.

I didn’t know where the hell I was meant to go from here. They kidnapped me and trained me to kill my own kind.

I just met my real parents. The real parents that I had never thought of before because I thought they never wanted me.

Which is completely not true. I was kidnapped. I was stolen from them and they have never stopped looking for me.

But that doesn’t change the fact that I was raised to hate them. And I feel sick to the stomach just thinking about being one of them.

This can’t be happening. This can’t be my life.

And I am surrounded by Hunters. They are all trained to know a werewolf when they see one. So how the hell am I going to survive here.

I can think of several girls right now that would be more than willing to kill me just for the fun of it.

And then there’s Ben. He’s known this whole time that we were mates.

We made love under the stars. We had such a special night and now it all feels like a lie.

My mind was racing all night with questions and concerns that I had. And I didn’t have anyone to voice them to.

I didn’t really want to talk to Ben right now. Which I think was fair enough. He’d done enough damage to me as far as I’m concerned.

I needed to take some time with everything that I’ve just learnt.

But I have a feeling that time is something that I don’t have a lot of.

I had to figure out what I was going to do,

up dead. Either by the people grew up around or my own kind content

no vise I was going to e

Fuck, I really wish this wasn’t happening. Or I wish this was happening to someone else.

Why would they have sent me into Midnight pack if they knew that I was their long lost daughter?

Was I the distraction that they needed? Was I just a pawn to see if they recognised me?

If that’s the case, then what did they do all that for? Why were they playing with the Midnight pack like that?

Wouldn’t they want to take the

Midnight pack by surprise if they were going to wipe them out? And they sent me to get an artifact from the house, don’t even know what that artifact meant, but I know that I had no chance of finding it. Not once I saw the house and how big it was.

They were using me.

They wanted to see if I could distract the Alpha and Luna. They need to know what Ezra and Morgan’s weaknessespare So they can attack and I will be put right in the middle.

They’ll be too busy trying to protect me that they will be easy targets.

That’s what this has always been about. A way to destroy Ezra and Morgan.

As soon as the sun started coming up I sat up and put my boots on and I left the bunk house.
