MORGAN’S POV
As soon as I got to Alpha Ezra’s packhouse he took me inside and got me something to eat. He knew that I had to have been starving.
He noticed that I was a little nervous about being here. I was sitting at the kitchen island and my leg was shaking up and down and I was looking out the window all the time.
“Morgan. Relax. This pack is 9 hours away from your pack. You actually made it here in record time.” He said.
“6 hours. I was speeding and so was your warrior that came to get me.” I said.
“Good. I don’t think he will look this far for you p>
“He saw us talking at the ball. He might figure it out.” I said.
“Did you bring the phone that I gave you?” He asked.
“I put it under my mother’s pillow. I want to call her to let her know that I’m alright. But as far as Logan knows, I was in a car crash and now I’m lost in the woods.” I said.
“That’s fair enough. Will your mother tell him?” He asked.
“No way. She hates Logan and hates his father even more. You don’t need to worry about my mother telling him.” I said.
“Will he command her?” Ezra asked.
“I don’t know. I hope not. She’s too weak. If he Alpha commands her, it will probably kill her.” I said.
“Well, I’m sure he’s not that sadistic.” Ezra said.
“You really don’t know him that well, do you?” I asked.
“Hey Morgan.” Nathan said, coming into the room and putting his arm around my shoulders.
“Hi. It’s good to see you again.” I said.
“I was happy to hear that you reached out to Ezra for help. I really didn’t think you would.” Nathan said, sitting on the other side of the island so he could face me.
“I wasn’t really given a choice. I couldn’t stay there any longer.” I said.
“What about the bond?” Nathan asked.
“I rejected him on my way here.” I said. And Ezra whipped around when he heard that.
“You never told me that.” He said.
“I didn’t think it was that important.” I said.
“You faked a car accident and then you rejected him. He would have felt that pain. Morgan, he might think that you’re dead. Not wandering through the woods.” Ezra said.
“Ha. I never thought of that. Well, that’s even better. If he thinks I’m dead then he’ll stop looking for me.” I said.
“You don’t care if he thinks that?” Nathan asked.

“Today his plastic girlfriend announced their engagement in front of everyone. I was there. He wasn’t going to reject me as his mate, but he is still going to marry someone else. I can’t live like that. It was slowly killing me.” 1
said.
“Well, you don’t need to worry about that here.” Ezra said.
“I know. This pack looks pretty nice. What I saw of it. A peaceful little town.” I said.
“Yeah. At night. The werewolf college that I told you about, it’s right on the border. So, wolves from other packs don’t come onto our territory but they are allowed passes because it’s the closest town if they need anything p>
Ezra said.
“Well, that would be good for the economy.” I said.
“It is. Are you going to sign up there?” He asked.
“Yeah. And I’ll get a job and everything. I won’t be a burden on you for too long. I’ll find my own place as soon as possible.” I said.
“Morgan. You’re not a burden. There are very few people who live in this house. It’ll be good to have some different company for a change.” He said.
“I really appreciate everything that you’re doing for me. I know that it could really be putting you in danger as well.” I said.
“Don’t stress about that. I told you, we can handle it.” Ezra said.
After we had something to eat, Ezra picked up my bag and took me to the fourth floor of the house, which was the Alpha’s floor.
He opened one of the doors and led me inside to a massive bedroom with light colored walls, a fireplace on the wall, a large TV in front of the massive king size bed, a walk-in-robe and an ensuite bathroom.
