When that class was over Jax showed me to my next one. It was creative writing in the next building. And he was being really nice and helpful and everything, but he was worrying me a little bit.
I didn’t want to make any enemies around here. Not after I just started. And I definitely didn’t need anyone getting overly possessed with me. Especially since I only just met him last night.
I sat through that class and took as many notes as possible and the teacher called me over at the end of class.
He told me that the short story I sent in last week while I was doing catch up was brilliant. He loved it and he hopes to see a lot more of that in my work.
I tell him that I promise that he will. I love writing, so that won’t be a problem.
Jax was waiting for me outside the classroom and I didn’t have to be at my next class for a bit, so we went to the cafeteria to get something to eat.
“Jax. There’s something you need to know.” I said.
“What’s that?” He asked, as we sat at a table with our tray of food.
“Well, you need to know that there’s nothing going on with the Alpha. Or his brother. Not with me anyway. And you should also know that I am pregnant, by an asshole from my last pack. It was the final push to make me leave.” I said.
“Damn. That sounds like a lot that you’ve got on your plate.” He said.
“It is. So, I saw the way you were looking at other guys who were looking at me and that sort of stuff today. I just don’t want you to get the wrong idea.” I said.
“No. Of course not. I should probably explain too. Alpha Ezra has asked me to take care of you at school. Make sure that you eat enough, I didn’t know why until you told me that you were pregnant, and he wanted to make sure that no guys messed with you. Unless you wanted them to.” Jax said.
“Are you my fucking bodyguard?” I asked.
“No. I’m a concerned friend. Another friend asked me to make sure that you were safe. Alpha Ezra seems pretty worried about you.” Jax said.
“No one has to be worried about me. I can take care of myself. I’ve been doing it long enough.” I said.
“Well, that doesn’t mean I’m going anywhere. I’m looking for more friends if you’re interested.” He said.
“Yeah. I’m interested.” I said.
“Alright.” He said.
My final class that day was a pre-med class that all werewolves had to attend at some point in college. And it was up to them if they went on any further after the initial classi
I was thinking I might take a couple of these classes. I won’t be a full doctor, but I’ll have training in doing a few extra things than just the basics. I would love to be helpful in that way.
I didn’t end up walking home because Jax drove me. He thought that it was too far
to walk, even though it was right outside our border.
He drove me back to the packhouse and I got there just in time for dinner.

“How was your first day?” Ezra asked, as I sat at the table.
“It was good. By the way, I don’t need a fucking baby sitter.” I yelled, shocking both Ezra and Nathan.
“Okay. Jax isn’t a babysitter. I just told him to make sure that no one tries to mess with you. A lot of the guys that go to that college, I don’t know them. And if I don’t know them, I don’t trust them.” Ezra said.
“Whatever. It was pretty shit that you didn’t tell me about him. You could have just said that he was going to be there to show me around.” I said.
“Yeah. That wouldn’t have made her as mad.” Nathan agreed.
“Who asked you?” Ezra said.
“Listen, Alpha I said, but I stopped as soon as I saw the look on Ezra’s face.
“Alpha? Since when did you start being so formal?” He asked.
“I’m a part of your pack now. I know that I have to behave more like a pack member.
I keep forgetting that you are my Alpha now and I keep calling you by your first name.” I explained.
