Chapter 72

The following day I had a late start at school so I decided to spend the morning doing my laundry and other little things for me.

Ezra did have an omega that comes to do that stuff, but I told him that I’m not an imbecile. I can do it myself. I always have.

When I was finished with that I had a shower I got dressed and I put everything I needed into my bag, ready for school.

Jax arrived a little while later and he drove me to school after talking to Ezra. Ezra wanted to make sure that Jax knew what was going on with the scouts around the campus before he would let me go.

They were all treating me like I was made of glass and I was starting to really get fed up with it. But I also, kind of, liked the support that I was getting from them.

When we got to the school Jax did a quick eye search for anyone that he didn’t recognise and anyone that was taking photos or looked a little out of place.

Scouts were easy to spot in situations like this. If they were checking out a pack and living in the woods outside of a pack territory, then they could blend in. But actually being in an environment like this, it was a bit harder.

I headed to my first class which lasted for an hour and then when I walked outside and as soon as I was going towards my next class I noticed one of the scouts standing near where that class was.

I couldn’t get to the class without him seeing me.

“Jax.” I mind linked.

“Yeah. Are you alright Morgan?” He asked.

“I need a distraction. I can’t get to my next class.” I said.

“What do you have in mind p>

“I don’t know. How good are you with explosives?” I asked.

“That’s not even funny.” He said.

“Wanna bet. Explosives full of paint are hilarious.” I said.

“Well, if that’s your trademark then we can’t use it. Logan will definitely know.” He said.

“Can you come near my class and sing out to someone in the distance? Call out to Morgan and then approach someone and tell them to play along or something.” I said. 1

“Yeah. I can do that. The ladies around here love me.” He said. And I choked a little.

“Sorry. I think I just threw up a little in my mouth.” I said.

“Alright.” He said.

I stayed hidden behind that wall for a few moments before I heard Jax start calling out to Morgan.

The scout immediately looked at him and started following him.

He led him off into the distance and I was able to slip past without him seeing me.

I also made sure that no other scouts were nearby and I snuck into the classroom without anyone seeing me.

At least, not anyone of value.

Jax kept me up to date the whole day about the scouts and what they were doing. That’s when he wasn’t in class and I would let him know if I had seen them as well.

We managed to avoid them the whole rest of the day and I was glad to get in his car and started heading home.

When I got there Ezra was sitting on the front veranda.

“Is everything okay?” I asked, getting out of the car.

“Yeah. I was just worried about you guys. You were meant to be back ages ago.” Ezra said.

“We stopped and got something to eat before we came home. I was starving.” I said.

“Of course you are. You’re pregnant with a werewolf baby. You’re going to be starving more than ever before.” He

said.

“Oh goody.” I said, being sarcastic.

“I’ll see you tomorrow.” Jax said.
