Rylie eased the pressure just enough for him to gasp, hope flickering in his eyes. He tried to crawl away, but his blurred vision caught only the curve of her lips before her heel snapped his neck cleanly.
The sound was sharp. His body jerked once, then went limp as blood pooled beneath him.
Rylie stepped back and looked into Black Tiger’s lifeless eyes. Her voice was composed, almost indifferent. “Let you go? Not a chance. You’ve seen my face. Eventually, you’d talk. It’s cleaner this way, part of the debt, paid in blood.”
The glamorous girl reentered, streaked with blood, her pistol out of rounds. “Corridor surveillance resets in three minutes. They’ll notice something’s wrong soon. Did you get the name behind it?”
“I did, but he’s out of reach for now,” Rylie answered, her tone even.
She turned briskly and issued her orders. “Toss the body into the pool downstairs. Make it a message. We’ll deal with the rest in time.”
Just as Rylie descended the stairs, Brad appeared at the landing, heading up.
“Where have you been?” Brad asked, catching the faint metallic scent of blood on Rylie. His jaw tightened as he pressed, “Did something happen?”
Rylie paused, her eyes wide with a feigned innocence. “It seems so. I couldn’t find the restroom, so I went upstairs to look. But on the way, I heard fighting near one of the private rooms. I didn’t stay long and came right back down.”
Brad let out a small, exasperated chuckle at her answer. He noticed the faint bloodstains on her skirt blending into the red fabric but decided to say nothing.
“So, can I take you home now?” he asked.
She hesitated for a moment but didn’t refuse.
Just as they were leaving the VIP area, Tessa’s voice rang out behind them. “Rylie!” Tessa walked over, her earlier disdain replaced by a flattering smile. “I never thought you’d have such incredible luck. Three hundred million! It’s perfect timing. The Kirk Group is in a financial mess, and Phillip owes fifteen million in gambling debt. It’s not much, really, just a hundred million for us.”
Rylie almost laughed at the audacity. She scoffed and said, “Who do you think you are? I’ve never seen anyone this shameless.”

Tessa’s face flickered with emotions, but she didn’t curse. Instead, she went into a dramatic act. “Let me apologize. I’ll beg if I have to.”
She made a show of trying to kneel, but Stacey quickly stepped forward to stop her. With pleading eyes, Stacey said, “After all, we’re family. Rylie, are you just going to let us suffer like this?”
Rylie’s brows lifted slightly. “I can help, but there’s a condition.”
Tessa’s voice shot out, desperate. “What is it?”
“Remember how I was disgracefully thrown out of the house, Mrs. Kirk? Do the same to Stacey.” Rylie smiled coolly. “Make it public. Let it go viral for everyone to see. If you can’t afford to pay for the news, I’ll cover it.”
“That’s impossible!” Tessa snapped without thinking.
Rylie’s gaze turned icy. “Then I have nothing more to say.”
She turned to leave, throwing a sharp glance at Leland, who stood silently nearby.
As they stepped out of the casino, Rylie twisted her ankle slightly. She exhaled and asked, “Where’s your car? Take me back to Serenity Manor.”
