I walked toward the yard exit.
My steps were steady, even though my heart raced with every meter.
I passed some guards and other inmates, barely noticing them.
My mind was fully focused.
I made my way to the wing and, once in front of our cell, pushed the gate open firmly.
As soon as I stepped in, I pulled the curtain closed.
The cell was still empty, silent. For a moment, my gaze drifted across every corner of that tiny space, packed
memories.
I sat down slowly on the bed, breathing deeply.
This is where we lived through so much.
We made love, exchanged sweet words, fought, made up, and opened our hearts to one another.
It was here that I learned to love–and to be loved.
Where I stopped being the lost boy who came into Inferno Bay and became someone stronger, more complete- someone who knows exactly what he wants.
And what I want is him.
It didn’t take long before I heard footsteps approaching.
I looked toward the bars and saw Dante appear.
His eyes widened when he saw me there–maybe he didn’t expect me to be here so soon.
But here I am.

I patted the bed beside me, inviting him to sit.
He hesitated, sighed, and walked over, sitting next to me.
I took his hand, interlacing our fingers.

He looked at me, eyes shining, and kissed my hand gently.
“You’re right. I’m sorry. I was hurt when you didn’t trust me. And now… I did the same. I was afraid you’d hate me -even after everything we built. It means I didn’t trust either. Even after all we’ve been through p>
“Promise me this won’t happen again. That you won’t hide anything else from me p>
He sighed, his fingers trembling in mine.
“I promise. And… since we’re being honest… I ordered your parents killed–for abandoning you. And I had your ex sent to a brothel. When she gives birth, she’ll be killed. The child will be taken to an orphanage p>
A jolt shot through my body.
My breath stopped for a second.
“Why?” I asked, swallowing hard.
“Because they hurt you. Your parents turned their backs on you. And that woman you loved so much… showed no compassion. You deserve justice. I’m your husband. It’s my duty to protect you p>
I rested my head on his shoulder.
A part of me was still trying to process everything.

“Yes. Let’s get out of here p>
I stepped back, surprised.

He chuckled softly.
“That’s why the warden called me. The FBI has taken its eyes off the prison. It’s our chance to get out, bunny p>
He cupped my face in his hands.

I promise I’ll always tell you everything. I admit I may have manipulated you. I wanted to make you depend on me; I wanted to make you desire me. I manipulated your mind and your heart.
I smiled slightly, leaning forward. I kissed her lips firmly.
I caressed her face gently. (1)
“It’s okay. You may have done that, but I know my feelings for you are real and not the result of your manipulation. You just encouraged me, awakened my feelings. But the choice was mine.
His eyes shone with something deep.
“Yes, you’re right, my love. But know that even if you didn’t want me, I would have kidnapped you.
I laughed, kissing his chin affectionately.

He wrapped me in a tight embrace.
“Am I forgiven p>
“Yes, you are. Never hide anything from me again. Promise p>

He lay down on the bed, gently pulling me down on top of him. I lay down without hesitation, resting completely on him, feeling his breath under my chest.

I gently caressed his face.
“As soon as possible, my love. We can’t wait too long. The FBI could start monitoring everything again at any

“But we’ve already left… Didn’t they notice?” I asked, resting my chin on his chest.
