Chapter 56

Elijah Vaughn

He licked his lips, a satisfied smile playing at the corners of his mouth as he looked at me.

“Delicious as always, sweetheart p>

My mind was still hazy when he stood up, pushing his hair back like nothing had happened.

I think I could get used to having your sweet milk for breakfast p>

My legs were still shaking, muscles exhausted.

He smiled, clearly pleased with the state he’d left me in.

“Now, finish your shower p>

He turned and walked away, as if nothing had happened.

As if he hadn’t just devoured me in front of someone else, without a shred of shame or hesitation.

I leaned against the tiles, my muscles still trembling, my breath unsteady, trying to regain control of my own body.

The hot water kept running down my skin, but my mind was still trapped in what had just happened.

The intensity in his eyes, the heat of his mouth, the way he consumed every reaction shamelessly.

I took a deep breath, trying to ignore the residual desire still pulsing through me. I reached for the soap and ran it slowly over my skin, washing myself in steady motions while my thoughts kept replaying every detail of what we’d done.

It felt so good.

I rushed to finish the shower and grabbed my toothbrush, moving it methodically, as if it could somehow bring normalcy back to the moment.

After rinsing, I dried off quickly with a towel. I stepped out of the shower, legs still a little weak–but not as much as before. I took a deep breath, trying to compose myself as I approached the clean uniforms the guard had left.

I dressed carefully, making sure not to lose balance. When I finished and looked up, I saw he was already ready, his jumpsuit zipped up properly. His damp hair was pulled back into a bun, like always.

He looked at me and smiled.

“I’ll be busy today, little bunny. You can eat with Fox. I’ll see you tonight p>

He approached with slow, confident steps.

“Now, give me my good morning kiss p>

He tilted his head, waiting.

I swallowed hard, hesitating for a moment before raising my hands and holding his face.

Our lips met, and he immediately parted his mouth, giving me control. His tongue slid into mine, and I tried to match him, deepening the kiss with the same intensity he always kissed me with. I wanted to kiss him like he kissed me fierce, overwhelming.

His hands slid down to my waist, gripping firmly, pulling me against him as the kiss deepened even more. Heat spread through my body, a shiver shooting up my spine.

It was addictive.

The way his mouth molded to mine, the way his fingers held me, the way everything about him made me feel something I couldn’t–or didn’t want to- explain.

Aty hands ran down his jaw, feeling the warmth of his skin beneath my fingers. Our lips moved in sync, our breath mingling, and I no longer knew where I ended and he began.

And for a moment, I wished it could last forever.

Without thinking, I bit his lower lip gently. The low, rough sound that escaped his throat made my body tremble.

He moaned into my mouth, pulling me even closer before finally pulling away. Our breathing was fast, our chests rising and falling in sync.

His thumb brushed slowly across my swollen lip, his dark eyes reflecting something dangerous.

“You really have no idea what you do to me, do you, little bunny p>

His voice was low, drawn out, and predatory.

“Because if you did… you wouldn’t have bitten my lip p>

I swallowed, unable to look away.

My body was still warm, a strange electricity running through every part of me.

“ You’re lucky I’m busy. ”

The tip of his thumb pressed against my bottom lip before pulling away.

“Because if I weren’t, I’d fuck you right here p>

My stomach flipped, heat flooding through my body.

Shit.

A soft breath slipped past my lips before I could stop it.

What the hell is happening to me?

How does he manage to leave me like this with so little?

Am I turning into a pervert? F**k.

He smiled faintly, like he could read every chaotic thought swirling in

my

head.

He said nothing.

He just leaned in and pressed a brief kiss to my forehead.

‘I’m heading out, little bunny. I’ll see you tonight.

And then, unhurried, he walked out of the bathroom, leaving me alone with a burning body and a mind in total chaos.

I closed my eyes, trying to calm my breathing

But it was useless,

His touch still burned on my skin, the sounds still echoed in my memory, every sensation replaying like a cruel reminder.

Chapter 56

The worst part?

I didn’t feel guilty.

I should have.

A

I should feel ashamed, question myself, and try to understand how I got to this point.

But instead… I felt something else.

A lingering desire.

An absurd craving for more.

Last night was insane.

Intense.

Too good.

And if I could… I’d do it all over again.

What the hell is happening to me?

My fingers gripped my wet hair, silent frustration rising in my chest.

A few weeks ago, I would’ve never imagined this. My life was simple.

My world, predictable.

But now… now I can’t imagine a future without him.

When did that change?

When did I stop seeing him as a monster and start accepting him as someone I wanted beside me?

Maybe it was from the beginning.

From the moment, in the middle of this nightmare, he was the only one who listened.

The only person who believed me when no one else did. When my own family turned their backs, he was the one who reached out.

And I took his hand.

It was my choice.

No one forced me to kiss him back.

No one made me want his presence.

No one chained me to him.

Everything that happened… happened because I wanted it to.

I could’ve walked away.

I could’ve gone back to Fox’s cell.

But I stayed.

And now … I don’t want to leave.

That thought should be terrifying.

But it’s not.
