As Jared listened to some guests nearby gossiping about Elise, he figured out the tangled relationships between Dorothea, Elise, and Carola. Remembering what he saw in the video, that sweet face hiding such a cruel heart, he couldn’t help wondering if Dorothea had gone through the same things as a child. With her sensitive nature, it made his heart ache even more.

Honestly, though, Dorothea doubted the school would care. After all, those kids had already graduated years ago. Still, she didn’t want to crush Jared’s enthusiasm.
