Dorothea didn’t send any angry texts. She just woke up the next morning, skipped breakfast, and drove straight to work.
Latham came home in the middle of the night, long after she’d fallen asleep. When he got up early, the apartment was already empty.
Linda muttered as she cleared the table, “Latham, you come home late and leave early. Of course Dorothea’s upset. Ladd is still waiting to hold a grandchild next year, and you two are still sleeping in separate rooms p>
