Chapter 4
It was dark by the time I staggered back home.
Ronan’s actions had solidified my resolve for revenge.
Over the years, I had built up a number of contacts within Prescott Enterprises.
While they might not seem useful, sometimes the information they gathered could be lethal.
With this in mind, I began to lay out my revenge plan for six days from now.
Message after message was sent out.
Suddenly, one of the girls sent me a hesitant message.
[Mrs. Prescott, I don’t know if this is real or not, but I think you need to see it p>
The next second, she sent me information about an auction.
And on the list of auction items, one of them was private photos of the wife of the Prescott Enterprises CEO!
I gripped my phone tightly, staring in disbelief at what was in front of me.
My phone buzzed with another message. This time, it was from Juniper.
Her tone was as cheerful as ever, but the words she spoke were deadly.
[Cora, for old times’ sake, I thought I’d give you a heads-up. Your private photos are being auctioned off at all the major auction houses right now. If you want to buy them back, you’d better drop the lawsuit. But I guess it might be too late for that now p>
It was followed by a playful, tongue-sticking-out emoji.
The blood drained from my body, I wished I could just pass out right then and there.
I quickly arranged for people to go to the other auction houses, while I rushed to the largest one myself.
By the time I arrived, my private photos were on the auction block.
As proof, they displayed a photo of me in a swimsuit on the large screen, my neck covered in hickeys from Ronan.
That picture was taken by Ronan himself!
I was shaking with rage, and when I tried to rush forward, I was stopped by security.
A man in the audience shot me a leering, mocking glance.
“Well, I never would’ve guessed Mrs. Prescott had such a great body. And so open minded, putting her own private photos up for auction. Now this is something I’ve got to see p>
“I just wonder if Mr. Prescott will break her legs or kick her out after this. If he does, I wouldn’t mind taking Mrs. Prescott off his hands for a little fun, hahaha p>
Those stares, those looks, were like sharp arrows piercing straight through my heart.
I finally understood. It was Ronan who had given them all these photos.

Chapter 4
With a trembling hand, I raised my bidding paddle again and again, trying to buy back my own dignity.
Finally, after bidding recklessly. I won the auction for the photos.
Just as I was about to leave, someone from the auction house stopped me and said, politely yet disdainfully
“Ma’am, this card has no funds p>
I clenched my fists, my heart pounding in my chest.
Ronan had actually gone this far.
Was he determined to make me break down?
With a shaking hand, I handed over another card.
These were all cards Ronan had given me after we got married.
Since I had my own job, I rarely used them, but there was definitely money in them.
Soon, the card machine beeped, and the staff’s look became even more contemptuous.
I couldn’t take it anymore and called Ronan.
“Ronan, did you take all the money out of the cards p>
On the other end of the line, Ronan was breathing heavily, and in the background, I could faintly hear Juniper’s coquettish laughter.
It was obvious what they were doing.
The flames of rage in my heart burned so fiercely I wished I could incinerate both him and Juniper.
“Cora, I told you before that the company was in trouble. I figured you wouldn’t need the money, so I took it out. I had no idea Juniper would release your private photos. Don’t worry, as long as you agree to drop the lawsuit, even if Prescott Enterprises goes bankrupt, I’ll buy those pictures back for you p>
Before I could even speak, Ronan on the other end suddenly gasped a few times.
“Cora, I’m still over here working on your brother’s case. You think about it, or you could try borrowing money from someone else. I have to go p>
With that, he eagerly hung up the phone, losing himself in Juniper’s tender embrace.
After Ronan hung up, Juniper sent me countless photos of them together.
I saved them one by one, even saving the taunting messages she’d sent me before.
Ronan wasn’t the same Ronan anymore.
Or maybe, I had never really seen him for who he was.
I dug my nails into my palm until it bled, watching as the photos were put back up for auction.
The men below shot me a mocking glance and then resumed their bidding.
The people I’d sent to the other auction houses also called me, full of apology.

Chapter 4
Because Ronan had frozen the cards, they hadn’t been able to buy a single photo.
I stood there, watching as a mysterious buyer purchased all the photos.
At this moment, as long as those pictures didn’t fall into the hands of those men, I could breathe a small sigh of relief.
As for everything else that was to come, I no longer cared.
