She clung to him, clearly having missed him desperately. When she pulled back, he offered the flowers. Their scent hit her, and her grin widened.
“Thank you so much, ” she murmured, kissing him again, hugging him tighter. Then her gaze shifted to me.
Cameras flashed like lightning. Pinky closed the distance and pulled me into a fierce, tight hug. When she drew back, she searched my eyes.

Pinky nodded. She turned back to her team and the fans posing for a few more shots, accepting a handful of gifts her security allowed. She waved one last time, bright and grateful, then followed us to the car.
Eshan opened the passenger door, but Pinky slid into the backseat beside me instead. He settled behind the wheel and pulled away, the fans still chanting her name as we left them behind and merged into the busy road.
“ Oh goodness, I can’t breathe, ” Pinky exhaled dramatically
Eshan passed her a bottle of water without looking, like he knew exactly what she needed. She took it with a grateful smile.
