“No, Dad,” Cale cut in. “Someone is deliberately baiting us. And they’re doing it intelligently p>
Chris nodded. “If this is a coordinated, organized network acting simultaneously, then everything we’re facing is part of a single plan. Not two separate conflicts–one about business and one about family. It’s one board. One game p>
“With too many things designed to split our focus,” Daven added.
“And one or two shadow kings pulling the strings,” Cale continued.
Nathan stood. He walked slowly around the desk, stopping directly behind Daven’s chair. “I want one thing to be absolutely clear p>
All three men turned to him.
“Whoever is behind this,” Nathan said evenly, “I don’t care who they are, how powerful they might be, or how deep their family roots go. I want you to investigate it thoroughly. Leave no stone unturned p>
“I’ve already made my move,” Cale replied. “Erick is handling things on the ground. I’m taking over the areas Erick can’t reach. With your support, Dad, I won’t hesitate to bring the full weight of the Miller name into play p>
Chris gave a firm nod. “I’ll apply pressure from JiangShe p>
Daven clenched his fists. “And I’ll make sure Selena doesn’t get the chance to carry out whatever she’s planning. We’ll build traps for her, one by one. Map out every network she has. Dismantle them piece by piece until we find the one pulling the strings. Let her believe we’re easy to control p>
“And then…” Cale’s lips curved into a satisfied grin. “Boom. She gets swept up in the tidal wave and can’t claw her way back p>
Nathan returned to his seat. “And what about Eli p>
Silence settled over the room.
“The child is a victim, I think,” Daven said at last. “I haven’t been able to study her situation in depth yet. And that’s what makes this dangerous p>
“Which is exactly why,” Cale countered, “we need to separate the child from her mother’s strategy–without letting her realize it p>
“Your mother and Josh met Eli today,” Nathan said. “But I haven’t heard a single word from them yet. Maybe later tonight p>
“At dinner?” Cale interjected, staring at his father in disbelief. “It’s already very late, Dad. You’re definitely going to get Mom’s disapproving look p>

Nathan chuckled softly. Amid all the chaos weighing on them, there was at least one thing to be grateful for- family. A family that stood together, supported one another, and fought to stay united no matter what problems tried to tear them apart.
“You can ask her tomorrow, Dad,” Chris added lightly. “But you might want to ask Josh for the details. I have a feeling Josh noticed a few things about Eli p>
Daven frowned and looked at Cale, puzzled. “What do you mean p>
“I think your son isn’t very fond of their presence p>
“Honestly, no one would like the way they forced themselves into our family,” Chris said with a dry laugh.” Especially Josh p>
“Alright. I’ll talk to Josh,” Nathan said at last. “And for now, you should hold back from digging too much as well, Daven.” He gave Daven’s shoulder a firm pat. “I’ll make sure Josh has my full attention p>
“Of course p>
Nathan laced his fingers together. “So what’s our next move-besides staying quiet and letting that woman believe everything is going according to her plan p>
Daven answered without hesitation. “While we keep quiet, I’ll continue tracking the movements within Callister Group. With Cale and Erick backing me up, I’m confident we’ll uncover the root of this soon p>
“Out in the open,” Cale added. “We let them think their plan is still on track”
Nathan nodded. “While we tighten the noose from behind p>
Chris smiled faintly. “I like that plan p>
Nathan studied each face in front of him. “If this fails p>
“It won’t,” Cale cut in. “Because we’re moving with strategy, not impulse p>
Daven rose from his seat. “And because this time, we know exactly what we’re up against p>

The tablet screen went dark. Silence settled over the room once more. The men who remained exchanged brief looks. No more words were needed—they all knew what had to be done. Still, Daven couldn’t shake the hope that he wasn’t already too late. The stakes were enormous.
