Shawn actually grew his beard for Serenity’s sake, though it wasn’t very long. Jasmine was simply surprised because Shawn typically had a clean-shaven face.

“Serenity went home early to prepare a feast for Mr. York as a thank-you for all his help. Are you looking for her? You can tell me what it’s about, and I can pass the message along p>
“It’s nothing. I was just inquiring. Serenity mentioned she wanted to treat me to a meal, but I’m not sure when she’ll follow through on that p>
Jasmine laughed. “You two are close friends, so even ordering takeout could be considered treating you to a meal p>
