Zachary reached out to poke her forehead before reprimanding her. “Aren’t you trying to get me to eat because you keep bragging about your mac and cheese? Fine, we’ll have it tomorrow p>
Serenity swatted his hand away. “I’m pretty good at cooking. Your family said my food was delicious. Alright, I’ll make you some pasta tomorrow if that’s what you want p>
“Did you give Ms. Stone any tips on how to win over Mr. York p>
“I guess so. I taught her everything she needs to know to get Mr. York’s attention. She should play the damsel in distress along the route he frequently takes. I’m sure he’d come to her rescue as long as his heart isn’t made of stone. They would have a chance to spend time together if Mr. York extends a helping hand p>
“Feelings develop through bonding time. All they need is a moment alone. I don’t really know what Mr. York looks like. He was at the party Jasmine dragged me to, but he was surrounded by a crowd. Plus, he had a group of bodyguards, so I didn’t get a chance to see him up close p>
Serenity kept her focus on Zachary as she spoke. “You can’t even meet your boss at work, let alone outsiders. If I had a say, your boss is far too proud. He won’t give Ms. Stone the time of day. I’m sure he’d fall for her if he got to know her p>
Zachary struggled to suppress his anger. Maintaining a calm demeanor, he replied coldly, “My boss will never fall in love with Ms. Stone. Serenity, you’d better stay out of it. If my boss ever finds out you’re the one advising Ms. Stone on romance, he might take his frustration out on you. Your bookshop could end up closing down.
