“Mr. Bucham mentioned that your wife is worried about you and insisted on coming to care for you. He arranged for a private plane to bring her here, and she should be arriving shortly p>
Zachary attempted to get out of bed.
“Your wife will call you when she lands, Mr. York. Mr. Bucham has given her your phone number. Don’t worry, I’ll ensure she arrives safely,” the manager assured.
Zachary sat back down and called Serenity.
He had planned to wait until dawn to contact her.
He hadn’t expected Serenity to rush over.
This made Zachary feel as though Serenity prioritized him.
Since she didn’t answer, he assumed she was still on the plane.
“Could you get some chicken soup? Plain soup would be fine too p>
“I’ll check if any shops have it. Are you craving soup right now p>
“Yes. Please get me some soup, fresh fruit, and a few desserts too p>

Realizing this, the manager smiled and said, “I’ll see if any shops are open. The hospital is located on a street filled with restaurants and cafes p>
It was midnight, and there was also a 24-hour bakery nearby. The manager exchanged a few words with the deputy manager before rushing out to buy Zachary some chicken soup, fresh fruit, and a selection of exquisite desserts. He even decided to purchase a carton of milk.
He had just delivered these items to the ward when he received a call from Serenity, who had just landed from her flight. The manager quickly headed out to pick her up.
Zachary instructed the manager not to refer to Serenity as the CEO’s wife when he met her later.

“Her last name is Hunt. You can call her Ms. Hunt or Mrs. York,” Zachary replied.
Although the manager was confused by this request, he complied with his boss’s wishes.
Half an hour later, Serenity entered Zachary’s ward.
“Hello, Ms. Hunt,” the deputy manager greeted her as he stood up.
“Hello, how is Zachary now? Is he still asleep?” Serenity inquired, her attention immediately drawn to Zachary. Seeing him asleep, she assumed he was still out cold.

In reality, Mr. York had only been in bed for about two minutes. The deputy manager suspected that Mr. York was pretending to be asleep.
Serenity sat on the edge of his bed, reached out to stroke his face, and asked, “Is he still burning up p>
“Mr. York has the viral flu. His fever is intermittent. He fainted from the high temperature, and the doctor has recommended he stay in the hospital for a few days. He can be discharged once his fever subsides and he stops coughing,” the manager explained instead.
Meanwhile, Zachary, playing the role of the sleeping prince, fluttered his eyelashes.
He couldn’t believe that the doctor wanted to keep him in the hospital for several days.
