After a phone conversation with her sister, Serenity felt much better. She stood up and stepped out of the bath.
Her thoughtful husband had left a change of clothes for her before she went into the tub.

Serenity found their house in Brynfield to be eerily silent. Since he often came home late, she had no one to talk to when she returned.
This was why she wanted pets.

To her dismay, he purchased a villa larger than the Brynfield property, creating a quieter environment for the couple.
Once on the ground floor, Serenity heard commotion coming from the kitchen.
She approached and saw Zachary busy at work. Without startling him, she leaned against the door frame and watched him.
