Chapter 80 The family came together to enjoy some watermelon while watching TV. Before long, the Browns decided to retire to their rooms for the night.
The Browns were planning to stay for a few days.
With Serenity having moved out, there was now an extra room available for the entire Brown family to accommodate their stay.
However, the absence of Serenity’s help around the house, combined with Liberty managing the baby, groceries, and cooking, meant the home didn’t look as tidy as it used to.
Before heading to bed, Chelsea quietly pulled Hank aside and said, “Serenity and her husband brought a ton of stuff tonight.
Liberty was furious and just took the bags into her room.
I peeked inside the bags.
There were some nice things in there.
“I saw cigarettes and alcohol.
You should give some to your brother-in-law.
Liberty doesn’t smoke or drink, after all.
You don’t need those things either.
Your brother-in-law struggles to find the good cigarette brands.
Oh, and Dad hasn’t tried that alcohol.
Why not give the spirits to Dad p>
Hank couldn’t help but laugh.
“Just take what you want, Chelsea.
Give your baby a bath and head to bed.
I won’t be working late tomorrow, so I’ll take all of you out for a drive p>
“Sounds good p>
With a bright smile, Chelsea headed off to her room.
By the time Hank entered his bedroom, Sonny was already asleep.
As Liberty stepped out of the shower, she ignored Hank completely and settled on her side of the bed, ready for the night.
“There’s something important I need to talk to you about, Liberty.” Hank said, casting a disapproving glance at Liberty’s figure, comparing it to Jessica’s waistline.
He moved closer and took a seat beside the bed, his eyes softening as he gently caressed his son’s face.
No matter what, Hank’s love for his son remained unwavering.

Liberty spoke in a flat tone.
“My sister is looking to send her two eldest children to a school in this area. They’ll be staying at our home p>
“You’ll assist with cooking, as well as picking them up and dropping them off p>
“Since you’re already cooking daily, what’s a few extra mouths to feed? I’ll even increase your monthly allowance by a thousand dollars p>
“The kids won’t significantly add to our expenses, so that extra thousand is more than sufficient p>
“We reside within the catchment area for Wiltspoon Wood High p>
“We can either take guardianship of Chelsea’s children or transfer the title deed to my sister’s name p>
“Once the kids graduate, the house will revert to my name p>
“This is about my sister p>
“We can trust her p>
“I have no worry about her refusing to return the house p>
Liberty had held her resentment in all night long.
She was prepared to move past the issue to avoid another confrontation with her husband, but Hank’s comments unleashed her pent-up frustration.
