Damien returned to his seat after tending to the patient, only to find Arthur gone.

His stomach dropped. A chill ran down his spine, icy and sharp. Where could he have gone? For a fleeting moment, panic clawed at him, what if someone had taken the boy? He pulled out his phone, tempted to call Cassia, but stopped. He couldn’t worry her, not now.
His Jaw tightened, Damien rose and started searching. He slipped out of the hall, eyes darting, when he collided with a firm chest.
“I’m sorry, I wasn’t watching,” Damien muttered, steadying himself. His gaze lifted, then hardened.
Alpha Aiden Miller.
Even if he’d only seen him once in his life, even if it were in a dream, Damien would know that face. Rage seared through him. This was the man who had broken Cassia, who had nearly destroyed her. His fists itched to strike. But he swallowed the urge. This wasn’t the time.
“It’s fine. My fault too,” Aiden replied evenly. His eyes narrowed slightly, studying the unfamiliar man. He didn’t recognize
him.
“Maybe you should watch where you’re going,” Sofia interjected, her tone sharp and arrogant. “He’s the Alpha of this pack. I’m his Luna. Show some respect p>
Damien arched a brow at her rudeness. She wasn’t worth a response. He had more important things to worry about and Arthur was the most important now. Without a word, he moved past them.
And then relief flooded him. Just ahead, he saw James standing with Arthur by his side.
“Thank goodness,” James said, releasing Arthur’s arm. “I was helping him find his mother p>
“Appreciated,” Damien replied curtly. He turned to Arthur, kneeling slightly. “Arthur… didn’t I tell you not to leave p>
Arthur’s eyes dropped, guilt written all over his small face. And yet, Damien couldn’t help but notice again how strikingly the boy resembled Aiden. The same sharp features, the same presence. A cruel reminder.
“I’m sorry,” Arthur whispered.
Damien sighed, his anger dissolving. “It’s alright. Just… don’t wander off again.” His hand settled warmly around the boy’s. Arthur wasn’t just Cassia’s son, he was his son in every way that mattered. And soon, officially, he would be.
“Come. Let’s go inside p>
Together they returned, with James who was trailing behind.
The hall stirred with anticipation. Aiden’s father, Alpha Alaric, had arrived, settling beside his son.
“Father,” Aiden murmured. “You came p>
“Yes,” Alaric answered simply, his expression unreadable. His only focus was meeting the doctor who could save his wife.
Damien, seated again, grew restless. Cassia was taking too long in the rest room. He decided to text her, asking where she was. Few seconds later his phone buzzed, her reply came. On my way. He exhaled slowly.
James stepped onto the podium, microphone in hand. His voice rang out with authority.

The crowd hushed instantly.

“As we know, this sickness has spread through our pack, threatening our loved ones. Many lie in the hospital as we speak. Desperate, we sought help.
And a doctor…one renowned in this very field, answered our call. For that, we are grateful. Tonight, we welcome her as one of us, as family. And we vow to support her fully in her mission to find the cure p>
Applause filled the hall. James raised his hand for silence.
“So, let us now welcome Doctor Cassia Wrenmoor of Velaris Pack, and her husband, Doctor Damien Blackwood p>
The hall erupted into cheers. All eyes turned to the stage.
But Cassia wasn’t there. Only Damien rose, guiding Arthur with him as they stepped into the light.
Confusion flickered across the crowd. Aiden and Sofia exchanged a startled glance. Recognition sank in, the man they’d bumped into earlier… the boy who looked so much like Aiden… this was them.
Sofia’s gut twisted with guilt she couldn’t quite name, while Aiden’s jaw tightened. He stared at the stage, but his mind burned with one question: Where is Cassia Wrenmoor?
Beside him, Alaric leaned forward. “Didn’t she come p>
“I don’t know,” Aiden muttered.
James, unsettled, leaned close to Damien. “Where is your wife p>
Damien hesitated, then his gaze caught on the entrance. “There p>
James turned and saw her too.
A lone figure stood framed by the doorway.
Arthur’s face lit up. “Mommy!” he muttered, pointing.
The hall shifted. The atmosphere thickened, electric. The presence that filled the space was undeniable,powerful, commanding. An Alpha’s aura.
Cassia stepped forward, her heart thundering in her chest. Every nerve screamed at her, warning her of the storm to come. Was this the right choice?
But she moved anyway. Step by step, her elegance radiated, her presence pulling every eye toward her. The dim lights caught her gown, glittering with each stride. Her curls shielded half her face, leaving the crowd breathless with anticipation.
When she reached the center of the hall, the light struck her fully.
Gasps broke the silence.
Luna Amelia.
She’s back from the dead and alive…
