“Careful, be gentle! Everyone pay attention. Don’t snag any of those diamonds on the dresses p>

While waiting for the DNA test results, I found myself growing more attached to Alexis with each passing hour. One word from me, and every luxury brand had rushed their finest children’s collections to Evelyn’s home.
Dresses, outfits, handbags, everything suitable for a nearly three-year-old girl was delivered immediately. Styles not available locally were flown in by private jet to Ravenshade.
The driveway outside was now packed with dozens of vehicles. Staff members dressed in black suits with white gloves carried shopping bags from every high-end designer imaginable. They’d also brought wolf plushies in every size and style from parks worldwide. I’d ordered them all, knowing how much Alexis loved her stuffed animals.
In the living room, I held Alexis on my lap while she stared wide-eyed at the boxes and people filling the space. Before entering, the top sales associates had arranged all the clothing on displays, and now they wore practiced smiles as they respectfully described each design to Alexis.
Rowan and Rhys sat on a nearby couch, their eyes darting between dresses of every color. Despite the overwhelming selection, they took their role as advisors seriously.
“Dad, this sparkly pink dress would look amazing on her,” Rhys said, pointing to a gown encrusted with diamonds.
Rowan quickly made his own selection. “Dad, I think this white one is prettier. It has little fish on it that Alex loves to eat p>

Alexis already had a closet full of dresses purchased by her mother and godmother—enough new outfits to wear a different one each day. But like any female, regardless of age, her wardrobe always seemed to be missing that one perfect dress.

Adults make choices; children want everything. I saw nothing wrong with her response.

The sales associates’ eyes lit up, their gazes fixed on Alexis as though she were a living, breathing good luck charm.
No sooner had the clothing representatives left than another group entered, this time carrying luxurious jewelry boxes. They knelt on one knee, opening their premium collections.
Under the lights, precious gems of various colors radiated brilliant sparkles.
I gazed softly at Alexis in my arms, silently making a promise to myself. Even if she wasn’t my biological daughter, I would spoil her like a princess. And if she was mine… then anything in this world she wanted, I would move heaven and earth to provide.
“Alpha Calvin, this is a diamond tiara shaped like bunny ears, designed specifically for the little miss by our head designer,” one jewelry representative announced.
Another chimed in, “Little miss, look at this—our classic children’s pink diamond bracelet. All those sparkly stones are real diamonds. Would you like to wear it now p>
The sales associates used their most cheerful child-friendly voices as they presented their items to Alexis.
A luxury watch salesman approached with a century anniversary limited edition, addressing the twins, “Young masters, these watches come in a sibling set. You can match with your sister, and they have built-in GPS tracking that connects to your parents’ phones p>
The twins’ eyes brightened as they looked back at me. I nodded slightly, my gaze filled with fatherly affection.
“We’ll take everything,” I said.
Hearing this, the sales associates’ eyes sparkled like the diamonds they sold. They’d exceeded their annual sales quotas in a single day.
