The clerk bowed and brought over a velvet tray, his hands gloved. He set two rings on display. “These are custom wedding bands, designed just for you by our Italian designer a few days ago. Would you like to try them on p>
The men’s band was a cool-toned gunmetal black, simple but accented with a few tiny sapphires.
The women’s ring was even more stunning. Teardrop sapphires, linked by tiny diamonds, sparkled like a string of stars.
Inside the bands, their English names were faintly engraved.
One ring was bold, the other more subtle.
These rings were in a completely different league compared to the set they’d picked out on a whim before.
“Do you like them?” Latham asked.
