Ronan didn’t go off to handle tomorrow’s affairs as he had told Juniper.
Instead, he slammed on the gas and drove back to the home he shared with Cora.
That faint feeling he had when he left just now still bothered him.
Upon returning to the mansion and seeing it brightly lit, he finally let out a small sigh of relief.
Ronan didn’t know how to face Cora.
These past few days, he had done many terrible things to her.
Luckily, Cora hadn’t found out yet.
But lately, the feeling Cora gave him had become very strange. The look in her eyes was no longer filled with the love it once held.
Every time Ronan saw Cora, that unreadable emotion in her eyes would deepen just a little more.
And after she came back from that abandoned factory, the light that used to be in her eyes was completely gone.
Thinking of this, Ronan’s heart ached.
Even if it was to get Cora to clear the air and drop the lawsuit, perhaps he shouldn’t have resorted to such methods.
When Cora returned from that abandoned factory, she was covered in filth from head to toe.
Even after her wounds were treated at the hospital, you could still tell they were serious.
Thinking of the strong smell of medicine and blood on her, and the way she limped.
Ronan hit himself hard on the head.
Why? Why was he only noticing something was wrong now?
He had clearly told those men not to touch Cora.
Could it be they had disobeyed his orders?
At this thought, Ronan’s expression turned ugly.
He turned and walked towards the mansion.
When he got home, he found that although the lights were on, there was no one inside.
Ronan unconsciously looked towards the sofa.
Before all of this happened, Cora would wait for him on the sofa every night when he came home from work.
But now, the familiar figure on the sofa was gone.
Not only that, but after being cleaned up, the mansion felt empty and barren.

Many things in the house were gone, many of the mementos he and Cora shared.
Even the wedding portrait hanging on the wall-it was all gone.
The souvenirs bought on trips, the jar of paper stars he had once folded for her by hand, were all broken.
Ronan had pursued Cora for three years.
Even though it was at Juniper’s instruction.
But those three years, his pursuit of Cora had been sincere.
Even when they got married, he had genuinely wanted to spend the rest of his life with Cora.
He just never imagined things would turn out like this.
For some reason, looking at everything before him, Ronan’s heart suddenly began to panic.
“Cora? Cora Vaughn? Where did you go? You have to drop the lawsuit tomorrow, have you forgotten? If you don’t drop it, I’m afraid Juniper will do even more terrible things p>
Ronan said tentatively, heading upstairs.
He had assumed Cora would be upstairs, just not speaking.
But as soon as he opened the bedroom door, he realized something was wrong.
The bedroom was empty, there was no sign of Cora.
But her suitcase was still there.
Seeing this, Ronan breathed a sigh of relief.
Soon, he made a call to the police station to ask if Cora’s brother was still in custody.
After receiving a definitive answer, Ronan finally felt completely at ease.
He didn’t even bother calling the hospital.
He knew Cora very well. As long as her brother and mother were still here.
She would never abandon them and leave.
Combined with Cora’s feelings for him, Ronan was certain that she had just left in a fit of anger.
Tomorrow, she would definitely show up.
Even if it was for her brother and mother, she would definitely show up.
With this thought, Ronan sat on the bed in the bedroom.
He didn’t close his eyes for the entire night.
