When it was all over, Ronan pinched the bridge of his nose, feeling incredibly frustrated.
He returned to his desk and continued to look at everything Cora had posted.
He still remembered how Cora used to post about their happy life together on this account.
But now, all of those memories had been erased by Cora.
All that was left was a pile of evidence of his betrayal.
From those words, Ronan could see Cora’s hatred for him.
Realizing this made Ronan’s heart ache.
He had never imagined that Cora and Emery were his true saviors.
And he had never imagined that Cora, who had always loved him, would choose to leave him without a moment’s hesitation.
Ronan had thought Cora couldn’t live without him.
It wasn’t until Cora truly chose to leave that he discovered it was he who couldn’t live without her.
He sat dejectedly in his office chair, a mountain of work piled up that he had no desire to touch.
People came and went from his office, but Ronan was nowhere to be seen.
From that day on, it was as if he had disappeared. The former workaholic was now nowhere to be found at the company.
Until his secretary came in from the villa entrance, looking at him with a nervous expression and saying, “Mr. Prescott, the company is in trouble. If you don’t show up soon, I’m afraid our company is really going to go under p>
Only then did Ronan raise his head and look at him numbly.

The secretary rambled on and on, but it all boiled down to a few words.
If Ronan continued on this downward spiral, Prescott Enterprises was not far from bankruptcy.
Because of what had happened before, Ronan had a very firm grip on the shares of Prescott Enterprises.
Even though the Prescott family shareholders saw that the company wasn’t doing well, they had no opportunity to intervene.
If Ronan truly didn’t care, he might actually be able to drag Prescott Enterprises down with him.

At this thought, the secretary felt as if the sky was falling.
Ronan paid no mind to any of this.
Ever since learning the truth, it was as if a bone had been removed from his body, taken by Cora, leaving him unable to stand up straight.
From constant drinking, Ronan’s voice had become incredibly hoarse.
“I asked you to find out where Cora is. Have you found her p>
The secretary was stunned, not expecting Ronan to still be asking about Cora’s whereabouts at a time like this.
Then, after a moment of thought, he said cautiously.
“We haven’t been able to find your wife’s whereabouts yet, but we have discovered that she may have a connection to that overseas company that’s targeting us. It’s very likely she’s with them. The reason we can’t find any news about her is probably because that company and Duncan Enterprises have worked together to hide her p>
After hearing this, Ronan’s expression finally changed.
“What’s the name of that overseas company p>
The secretary thought for a moment. “It’s called Vaughn Global p>

Ronan’s eyes suddenly lit up.
Although he knew Cora didn’t have any overseas relatives, this company also shared her last name.
“Book me a flight overseas right now. I’m going to find Cora p>
Ronan was incredibly excited, as if he could see Cora standing right in front of him.

Ronan’s words finally allowed the panicked secretary to breathe a sigh of relief.
The flight was booked for tonight.
For this meeting, Ronan was incredibly nervous, checking his face and attire several times.
During the time Cora was gone, he hadn’t been eating or drinking much, and had lost a significant amount of weight.
He couldn’t help but worry that Cora would find him repulsive.
