“Giselle had a substantial amount of wedding gifts. Aside from the money and properties her mother left her, she had an entire trunk of jewelry
alone-at least a hundred pieces p>
“Every time you humiliated her for Chloe, she bought back one piece. So many wedding gifts. So many chances. But you never seized them p>
Lucien suddenly remembered that trunk.

He hadn’t forgotten those were wedding gifts from my mother.
He remembered promising to help me recover them.
When I saved him in his darkest hour, he’d thought those things were priceless.
But as time passed, that gratitude and sense of debt faded, even became something he took for granted.

Before she could finish, Lucien roared:

“Helping Giselle recover her wedding gifts-that’s what I OWED her! What gives you the right to judge her p>
“Don’t think I don’t know what you’re scheming. Even with Giselle gone, I’ll NEVER marry you p>
“If it weren’t for your constant drama and demands, Giselle and I wouldn’t divorce! Tomorrow you’re moving out. Don’t come back p>
Truth was, Lucien had been getting tired of Chloe these past days.
Deep down, he knew very clearly-in this world, everyone looked down on him for his background.
Only one who’d risk everything to fight for him.

As for Chloe? Besides seducing him in bed, she just cried for attention and schemed for benefits.
When you can’t have something, you obsess over it.

Those words did soften Lucien’s heart a bit.
Just as he was about to say she could stay until after giving birth, a cold snort came from the doorway.

“Tell me is this the ‘pure innocent girl’ who already gave birth to TWO sons for another man, then abandoned her husband and children to commit marriage fraud p>
